I've searched high and low for the "perfect" frother and whilst this is a great machine, capable of a full range of frothing, the software and recipes hold it back. It would be great to see customisable recipes, where you could select a slider from Less --> More froth. That way recipes could be adjusted to suit both the milk being used, and user preference. For example I love the Flat White and Latte Art settings, however they only deliver (to my preference) if I use full fat milk. If recipes could be tweaked to compensate for preferred milk type (in my case semi-skimmed 2%) - it would be perfect. This could be easily accomplished with an 'in recipe' slider option. The machine can definately do the job - the software absolutely holds it back and could be so much better with a little development. One other slight frustration is that you have to be connected to the machine within the app, to view receipes. It would be better to be able to do this away from the machine, and connect when ready. Otherwise you find yourself stood in the kitchen, trying to find new recipes. It's okay - but could be great.

U mean this machine wont work well with almond or coconut milk?

How's the whisk cleaned, it appears to have an inaccessible area between the two disks. I assume the jug is only single walled with no protrusions for driving it? and that it is driven by induction?

Hi Mark, the Barista whisk can be washed by hand or placed in the dishwasher with all the other removable parts, except the power base. Many thanks.

No sweat, for me, I just bang the hell out of it to get her off, problem is, that it just needs little lady hands to fiddle with it to get the pole back in the hole again! I have to get the girl over the street to finish me off so I can have my creamy goodness again....

If you like the frothy milk that the Barista makes, then buy yourself a 250g jar of Jarrah Vienna cinnamon latte - it holds the lid down perfectly so you don’t get your kitchen sprayed with milk.

If you can use the app! I’m in the us & have not been able to get my vertuo machine to connect thru Bluetooth! Very annoying bc I have to come here to figure out how to make drinks
