No one said it's Soviet tech.. Soviets did buy quite a few types from Eastern Bloc nations (as a part of sponsoring technological development in those countries… there were few occasions when superior Soviet aircrafts did not receive contract orders just to accommodate Eastern block country's offerings) L-410 and Trainers such as L-29,39 from Czechoslovakia, Mi-2(or an equivalent of it) from Poland etc. Besides a lot of these countries had a better relationship with the West and had many commercially available Western aviation technology incorporated in their aircrafts. Making it easier into USSR.
