The more serious, epic battles the Ghostbusters engage in are often the best episodes...but this 1 that's just plain, goofy fun, seemingly made entirely for the writers to really flex their quipping, bantering muscles, is easily among the greatest. Just a ton of fun to watch from start to finish.

George and Martha are the names of the elderly couple seen commentating on the happenings. George always refers to her by the shorthand nickname "Mar", and never by her full name, which is only revealed in the call sheet. It is likely that this is supposed to be George and Martha Wilson from DIC's Dennis The Menace cartoon, even though they are visually different for copyright reasons. George was voiced by Phil Hartman in Season 1 and Maurice LaMarche in Season 2, while Martha was voiced by Louise Vallance in Season 1 and Marilyn Lightstone in Season 2. Maurice provides George's voice here.

The writing has held up for the most part, but the animation quality varied all over the place. This is one of the weakest episodes in the series on a technical level. Something this sloppy and glitchy would never be accepted by a producer now. TV standards were much lower then. Ghostbusters had some very nicely animated episodes, but this is not one of them.
