Thank you! I was looking for an easy way to make a DIY vibrating table for resin casting and this was super helpful! Massager ordered!

I have that same sort of back massager already! I might try and cover it in cling wrap so it doesn’t get resin stuck to it though

Would it work without pouring on the edges and without using the spray-on product? I'm not using silicone and want to waterproof my caster.

Not sure what you mean about wanting to waterproof your caster. The spray on product is used to break the surface tension of the water so it will flow into the mold without beading up. This spray on product is called surfactant and you can find information about it at www.hirstarts.com/casting/advanced.html#surfactant.

Composimold is used to make temporary molds with. The vibrating table will probably not help to remove bubbles from the mold while creating the actual mold. However, it will help if casting plaster into the composimold.

@@russelltiley1861 Sorry, but I do not know how you could get rid of bubbles in the mold making material. Composimold is not a very good mold making material so there may be no good way to do it. I would suggest you try moldstar 30 instead. It's easy to mix, equal parts of A and B, you don't need a vacuum chamber, and the molds hold up really well. You can find it at www.smooth-on.com/products/mold-star-30/

    And what's below the board?

If you look at the instructions for making the table at www.hirstarts.com/casting/advanced.html#vibrate you will see that the board is glued to some thick foam padding which is also glued down to some thick mat board. The mat board sticks out the front so you have something to clamp down to your table surface.
