If I have a large table, let’s say using 4 tires, do I need a motor for each tire?

Hi Matt, this video is great but i cant seem to get the motor without paying £1000 to ship from US. Has anyone, or could you, suggest an alternative? Ive got a reciprocal saw lined up but would prefer table.. MT, James

Hi Matt, thanks for the video and great design. It seems that the recommended motor is now hard to find in the UK. Do you know an alternative place to buy the motor? Thanks

Bit late to the party, but is it quieter when you have it loaded?

Question...have you experimented with adding a dimmer switch to control the degree and intensity of the vibration ? Would this improve the dispersion of the air bubbles while reducing the aggregate from settling to the bottom ?

    I haven’t, but that’s a good idea for experiencing :)

@@MattHutton OK. Thx for your reply. Might be interesting for you to do 2 test panels, say 1/2 meter x 1/2 meter, both same thickness. Same total elapsed time of vibration. One at the single speed the whole, the other using the dimmer & start 25% of time slow, then 50% at full speed then finish the back 25% on low. The post the results via video ! 👍

It depends how big the piece is. For something like 1m x 1m x 4cm, if you’re using the table around 2-3 minutes continuously. With and SDS drill about 20 minutes around all the edges. 2m x 1m x 4cm, around 3-5 minutes on the table until much fewer bubbles come up to the top and pop. You don’t want to vibrate it too much though as you’ll have all the aggregate sitting at the bottom. Just enough to get rid of most of the bubble abs give you a nice smooth top face.

Why are you showing your face instead of what you built?
