I'm not going to lie, I thought this was going to be the definition of click-bait and when the robotic voice came in I felt like I was right. But then you started actually doing what you intending on doing and this video went into a completely different direction. What pure artistry here. My god, the patience that it took to shade that piece in is astounding. You did a great job, and no pun intended, you've shocked the hell out of me.

This is NOT easy to make at home, this is art! But, true, the technique is easy, and even somebody that is not so skilled in art can put a name or simple drawing on metal this way. Great work, true artist!

@KirillRunz You need to offer this as a service, you make a lot of money. I’ve got a hundred bucks and a good santoku knife to send you to do this to if you’re interested.

This is why KZread is so amazing. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but didn’t want to invest in the $400+ that companies wanted for the etching kit. Here you are doing beautiful work with a broken charger and some banana clips. You’re an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge.

When you look at it you say to yourself, it's nice and simple to do, when you try to do it, you realize that the work is much more complex than what you saw I have to take my hat off to you. CONGRATULATIONS !

Step 1 - buy cheap laser engraver Step 2 - cover your item with paint Step 3 - Use AI to create a unique artwork Step 4 - obliterate the paint on your item with the laser engraver Step 5 - "etch" the exposed design using chemical etching Step 6 - rinse clean and admire (I have not tried this but in theory should work).

It is amazing how you can take a basic outline of a figure and create so many different textures and shapes and various darknesses. You are a master of your craft and the best I have ever seen. Thank you for showing us how to do this.

There is a Chinese painting technique that uses ``4-step monotone''. In addition to metal etching techniques, you need the basics of drawing such pictures.

I had no idea you could use a power supply for that. I actually have a couple of those lying around. I love the effect from the stippling- it gives the image depth. So simple, yet it makes such a difference. Thanks for posting!

In other news: a KZread commenter by the name of jimcorbett3764 electrocuted himself by trying to create knife art. Remember, it's not the volts that do the trick, it's the amps. I'm not saying don't do it, but know darn well what you are doing when messing around with electrical devices beyond its intentional use. Stay safe.

Спасибо. Воронить не получится, это нержавеющая сталь. Я подкрашиваю художественной масляной краской. Она проникает во все поры на травленных участках металла и после высыхания практически не вымывается.
