The daughter of Kory's friend was so sweet crying over her adopted pony! We still have my childhood horse even though he's too old to ride now. Nothing is stronger than the bond between a little girl and her first horse

People with disabilities tend to get along better with horses because they're significantly more perceptive to nonverbal communication and can learn "horse language" a lot quicker than an able bodied person can.

You put that into words better than I could have. I have autism and PTSD and have always found I'm great with animal communication and often find neurotypical people to miss so many conversations with animals. It's a near magical language and so many people don't even notice how often animals talk to us, or what they have to say.

Rico was not use to it at all. He had a stressful day, we were almost home and our truck caught fire. We are so very proud of him. He handled it like a champ since he didn't know anyone there very well. Now he follows me around and loves his new "girlfriend".

@@racheallange2056 it's all good luckily it wasn't a complete lost. Just have to replace some transmission parts. We found out that there was a rat nest in there and it caught fire and damage some tubing for the transmission and some parts within the transmission. Everyone was safe just a bit shaken up. I will try to share as much as I can with Horse Plus about him. He's been loving life, getting use to his new home, and is being a goofball. Just tonight he had me going through mud (from the snow melting) to get him for dinner. Hopefully it dries up enough to start doing ground work to build his trust in us.

I know you would save every horse if you could but this is all part of the circle of life, you are doing what those haters wouldn't do. It's so easy for them to sit at their computers and pick apart what you do, but they would never put the effort in to actually do what you do. I enjoy each and every one of your videos! They are so poor and sad and hungry..... we in germany describe them "Arme Hascherl" (it's an bavarian expression....😉). Now, three month later, we can see the journey to build up trust and recovery for her physical healthy. That's my salery for my work with my animals and renaunce of other stuff and things.... We named the Icelandic "Freyja", the nordic godess of love, and her little little friend "Nena-Minzi" Best wishes for all animals friends from germany P.S. sorry, my Englisch is not so good....😬

Mady, Sarah and Jessie were all let go when they jeopardize the reputation of HPHS by working with a horse trader off hours that was trying to sell, sick skinny horses at auction rather than have the horse trader contact HPHS and rescue them. They defended their actions and were let go...very sad and very hard on the folks at HPHS. There is a public statement if you go back to last Fall and find it on Facebook. BUT the new folks are all AWESOME and new, hard workers getting the job done!

@@carolannequine5025 Thank you, I had been wondering what exactly happened there. I'm sorry to find that it was indeed Jessie at that auction. :(

Tawney and all those that work so hard at hphs I am so sorry those people that adopted samlsun are being so disgusting. And you can tell by watching the video of them doing their adoption and the pictures they put up but what they're saying is not true. I'm so sorry people have to be that way when you work so hard for these animals. I believe they came there to get horses for no fee. And just a bag of feed. As I told them on their Facebook if they were so worried about animals being fed and care for maybe they should have donated something more than that bag of feed. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do. I wish there that you could get those two animals back and safe at your shelter.

Why on earth are they also being so cheap? “He was $450 and I couldn’t afford it at the time, bills come first.” I don’t blame Tawnee, nor HPHS, they’re not seeing the budget adopters have. But if you can’t afford a horse when you see him the first time, why do you think you can afford them later? What if that horse colic’s or has a vet emergency? Are you just going to tell the horse to wait while you pay the bills and let him suffer? These owners tick me off more than anyone else.

Sara that is exactly what I thought. And I would have put screenshots of what all they said however I have now either been blocked or they took down the posts. Keep in mind they also took Stella the mule and as she made sure for me to know she gave them two bags of feed.

@@laurachurchill8171 I read it and pointed out that the photo was bs. You can’t see a mule that far away and see that it’s fine and healthy unless if it’s dying. I have a suspicion that she is lying and now trying to cover it.

@@SaraNightfire1 You we're able to read her original post. I thought it was just despicable of them to do that the only thing I can see now was a video of them working with Stella

@@SaraNightfire1 I said the same thing she got real upset about comments made that the pictures of Samulson looked more like the auction pictures then the video of her seeing and picking up the horse. And they were only partial pictures like a shot of his back he was all muddy and dirty however like I told her in the video he was all clean brushed and yes quite a bit chubbier than when he got there
