On behalf of my whole family thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to come in and adopt Ruger. He is a truely a blessing and the best son a mom could have. There’s nothing better than adopting from Horse plus Humane Society. They are amazing people on and off camera and genuinely care so much for the horses they have.

Ruger Found Love!! Halleluja!! SO glad!! I was afraid the new owner was going to fall for the other horse simply based on looks (she is lovely!), but little Ruger clinched the deal by being a sweet little chap and kissing the baby. Awwww! His new owners are both gentle, friendly, kind women, and they will raise that Darling little girl to be just the same way. She & Ruger will become fast friends, for sure! How seeet that Ruger will get to greet the school bus with another pasture pet horse friend of his very own.

And that those too, are sweet on the ground and have a heart of gold.

I just started watching your channel. Thank you for all you do. Both my horses were rescues. Not from an auction but from terrible owners. My first rescue was a 5 gated Saddlebred. He was older and out of control. For some reason he liked me and I was able to ride him. Not many were able to ride him. Now I’m talking 1971. I paid a whopping $200 for him. I was in 8th grade and didn’t know anything about owning a horse. I had that horse for 16 years when he passed away. Had him more than half my life at that time. He took me to shows and won many of them. My second Saddlebred was a 2 year old. Got him in 1994. He was about 75# underweight. Had him 23 years. He was a great pleasure/trail horse but showed very well also. Sorry to go on. Just wanted to thank you again for all you do. These animals that are adopted seem to appreciate it so much.

You are all heroes. And oh my is your farrier a handsome dude. You have so many good looking young people that I think a firefighter style calendar - in a humorously ""steamy"" parody style could generate some funds (and a lot of publicity for your cause, too !) among horsegirlies (and horse boys, and horsefolks) ... And for female beauty admirers - doctor Lydia could have had been a supermodel ( but aren't we all glad she's a vet instead!)... Soo.. let's add some glamour vet shots (these lead vests are pretty hot 😂 - Imagine a lady Godiva style, Vermeer lightning, romantic style painting style photo with a lead vest instead of hair..). The endless possibilities - we'd hang that in our stables for sure ^^

For the pregnant mare there is a product you can use to bridge the big crack in her hoof. I am not a horse person and can't recall what it is but I have seen a farrier on KZread use it on a horse with a bad crack to support the hoof wall while it grows out and doesn't let the horse pull the crack apart while walking. I can absolutely look it up if you would like.

Singing on camera... what they forget is that you won't forget, and WILL reciprocate at some stage! lol The donkeys are absolutely gorgeous - those poor hooves though :( Humans are awful who let them get to that state arent they? Elijah, you are a gem and I am sure you will be able to guide these horses and donkeys back to healthy feet with your knowledge. Big hello to all the crew and hope you are having a good time. Kimberley - I do the same too - with my donkey I used to play with his gorgeous soft lips, chin and nostril, he loved his ears being stroked inside ane out and would go to sleep to it.

When you all spoke of Founders(?) I am a horse lover, but i have NO CLUE what Founders is, and it felt like a missed opportunity to educate people like me, who don't know any horse terminology. I know it could get repetetive, but now I need to look up founders in horses so I can understand what they were talking about is all. I do love you all. But an educated horse admirer or a novice owner needs to know eo much, stuff like this. Its why I dont have any horses. I have no clue on how to gove one the best life ever, like thise onee the older lady turned in great shape, great terth condition, best Ive seen, in their 30s ! That is what you all should be constantly teaching, your horse care. To nurse these precious beings back to life is miraculous and you are all my heroes.🧡🙏

Founder is such a common and well known thing among anyone who's been around horses. They don't feel the need to explain every little thing because I feel like most of the viewers would know what founder is. The videos are already over a half hour long. Learning some basic information on your own (especially since you've self labeled yourself a horse lover) shouldn't be a huge burden.

I really don't want to be like this, but Kory is getting to heavy to sit on the horses he works with. He used to be just tall, and I hoped he would take as good care of himself as they do the horses, but it doesn't seem like he has. It's so sad to see. And it's really restricting him, in what he will be able to do going forward.

@@koryoconnor4268 That's good to hear, you are a handsome man, with a great hand when it comes to horses. All I want, is for you to be the best you. Having friends and family who struggle with weight, I know exactly how difficult it is to get back into shape, if you first gain a lot. So I must confess, that I have been a bit worried about you and your health. ❤️

I love the show. Enjoy watching.. but the squealing is a little bothersome. Being excited is awesome. Ya'll deserve to be excited about excitable things! The banter, cutting up and the back and forth is great. The squealing is just earsplitting and annoying.

Thank you for saying this. I totally agree. yes, the horses are adorable and they do cute things but acting like a teenager and squealing is really annoying. The horses don't like it either. Be professional for god sake.

if you are the adoption specialist, shouldn't you know everything about the horse you are showing. you should be enthusiastic about that horse and show some feelings

I'll be honest a lot of adoption specialists absolutely don't know everything about all their animals. Also depending how quickly someone is interested they might not even have had time to get to know them. If, for example, a horse goes straight from quarantine to adoption that's not very long to get to know them. I have adopted a dog that lived in a Foster's house and they still didn't know everything about him. In an ideal world they would, but it's often not the case sadly.

Sometimes they would carry a tablet to look up some details from their system during adoptions but really not recently. They process so many it's understandably hard to remember every detail without a system or even a printout. They are allowed to look it up really we don't expect perfect memories of evenly detail, if they are trying to do that for the viewer's sake. I know Jason expanded the wifi...wonder if they have issue with connection with all the new construction or weather changes...

@@GotAnUmbrella with all the help they have and knowing someone is coming to look at the horses, you could get a print out, up to date info on that horse. I'm very happy there is "horse plus" but I just think in some places they need to work on professionally. it's great that horse was adopted

You can't remember everything about every horse so print out information and have a cheat sheet. You should be able to answer the peoples questions.

Also for kickers you could take a keg shoe and twist the ends in so they just fit over the cannon bone and sits on top of the horses foot it prevents him from kicking also better than kicking chains.
