Adolf Hitler's Luxury Car Collection

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In 1920, Hitler was given his first automobile. At first, he drove a vehicle manufactured by a brand named “Selve Automobil werke A G,” but within a year, he upgraded to a sponsored Mercedes.
Mercedes-Benz 16 50 P S.
Daimler-Benz provided Hitler with vehicles and was a close ally of the Nazi party. In the 1920s, while Hitler resided in Munich, he was speculated to own a luxurious Mercedes-Benz 16 50 P S. This model was popular at the time since it was among the first small, and sporty cars. It was equipped with a six-cylinder inline-engine that had a capacity of 4 point 2 liters and was capable of achieving speeds of around 56 miles per hour. It was well-known for its good handling.
Mercedes-Benz 11 40 P S.
After serving 9 months of his 5-year sentence for treason, Hitler bought a Mercedes-Benz 11 40 P S, in December 1924. He anticipated that arriving at political events in a luxury vehicle driven by a chauffeur would win him new supporters and convince people of his stature.
Mercedes-Benz Type 6 30
The Type 6 30 was used by numerous high-ranking members of the Nazi Party, including Heinrich Himmler, and others. It's possible that Hitler traveled in a Type 6 30 at some point in his life.
The Mercedes Type 6 30 was a high-end automobile produced between 1924 and 1929. Also known as Mercedes 24 100 140 P S. It was a massive vehicle with 6 cylinders and a 6 point 2-liter inline-six engine, and it had an excellent reputation for speed and maneuverability.
Type 6 30s were propelled by 100 and 140 horsepower engines, and it could reach speeds of up to 75 miles per hour. The Type 6 30 was also offered as a long-wheelbase model with more legroom and a convertible model with a retractable hardtop.
Mercedes-Benz 7 70
The Mercedes-Benz 7 70 was designed as a successor to the Type 6 30. The car was also referred to as the “W07” or "The Great Mercedes". From 1930 until 1943, Mercedes-Benz produced these luxurious limousines specifically for the Nazi Party. High-ranking members of the Nazi Party were known to ride in these vehicles on multiple occasions. Adolf Hitler used the Type 7 70 as a personal vehicle.
The Mercedes 7 70 was used by Nazi German leaders and other Axis officials, such as Heinrich Himmler, Hirohito, and Benito Mussolini. It's possibly the most famous example of the car’s employment.
During the 1930s and 1940s, Hitler spent lots of time driving about Europe in his 7 70. It was equipped with a 7 point 7-liter V8 engine and had the capacity to travel at speeds of up to 106 miles per hour.
Mercedes-Benz W 31 Type G 4.
The G 4 was noted for its off-road prowess and durability. Produced between 1934 and 1939, the car was equipped with an eight-cylinder inline 5 point 4-liter engine, cranking out 110 horsepower. It was capable of reaching speeds of up to 42 miles per hour. It was a large, six-wheeled car, and only 57 of them were ever made. The G 4 was conceived as a luxurious transport for senior members of the Nazi Party, such as Hermann Goring and Heinrich Himmler. All the Nazi party's G 4s had been given anti-reflective matte or camouflage finishes. Many of the highest-ranking party members’ G 4s also had lighting mounted on the back. So those who followed too closely were rendered momentarily blind.
Volkswagen Beetle.
Designed by Ferdinand Porsche and then built in vast quantities by Volkswagen in the 1930s. The first Volkswagen Beetle was capable of reaching top speeds of up to 65 miles per hour thanks to its 1 point 1-liter engine. The very first 1938 Volkswagen Beetle convertible was a gift to Adolf Hitler.
The Volkswagen Beetle, also known as the Volkswagen Type 1, was a model compact automobile that was developed in the 1930s under Hitler’s direction. He had the intention of using the automobile to “motorize” the German people.
The car became a well-known symbol of Nazi Germany due to its widespread production throughout the 1930s and 1940s. After World War 2, Volkswagen rebranded the car as "The Beetle” to distance it from the Nazis. It became an instant hit with consumers and remained in production until 2003.

The 540 K was a stunning looking automobile, without question. From a performance standpoint, however, it was rather elementary as compared to "America's version", the Duesenberg Model SJ Roadster.

Goering also enjoyed the 540K, he had one done in Luftwaffe Blue, car had the nickname " Blue Goose" . This car was actually gifted to Goering by Hitler himself with a commemorative brass plate affixed to the glove box stating the Fuhrer's gift to Goering.

Vast quantities of VW beetles were NOT built in the 1930s. That only happened after WW2.

I noticed that same mistake, along with the incorrect line, "after WW II Volkswagen rebranded the car, the 'Beetle' ".

Indeed so. There was never a VW type 1 "beetle", they were all named after the engine size.
