Thanks! Great review, might have to get these now. 🥳🔥🙌 I already have the Speed Ultra.

Thanks, they are approx 30g lighter per shoe than the ‘ultras’ so good for the shorter distances. I got mine for around £125 from Runner Inn but their website prices have changed last time I checked.

Ok, I ordered these right after watching this review. This shoe is the real deal: I also have the Kjerag, and the Speed Trail beats it. First things first: Size down 1/2size from the previous version or your normal size. US12.5@10oz 1/2oz more than kjerag, so very light. More toebox room than the kjerag, not overly narrow across the metatarsals as the kjerag is. More and softer cushion, with a rocker that helps forward propulsion and makes it more 'fun' to run in than the kjerag. 8mm drop vs 6, I'd prefer 6mm for steep downhills. Same ungusseted tongue (very unhappy about this!) as kjerag, but smaller gaps in ankle collar & upper to let rocks in. Superior laces that don't come undone. The TST is happier on smooth to moderate trails, but I did 3hours on fairly rocky singletrack yesterday with no serious complaints, no toe-banging or underfoot pains. Do use heel-lock to keep the heel stable. $40 cheaper than the kjerag!

Yes to this by the way. I didn't fancy the ultra version. Don't like plates. Never got on with them. I've been undecided on this or the nnormal kjerrag. Thanks for posting this

Thanks for the message, the Kjerag looks too narrow for my feet with lower stack height for more ground feel, nice and lightweight. Does have good reviews. I feel the Agravic Speed will have a small break in period for midsole and upper.

I really enjoyed the previous Speed Ultra with the boost-light strike combo. These could replace them soon. These new ones seem to have much more rocker. How was stability?

Yep, I also have a pair of the original ones with boost in heel. I would say the new Agravic Speeds are even more stable with a wider base and better thicker midsole.

Nice video mate. Now I see these shoes on discount on the adidas website and I am just unsure about the sizing. Mixed reviews advice to go half a size down but some say that they fit true to size. What would you recommend? I currently wear size 8 bostons but they fit just right with thin socks

I would stick with a size 8. I’m a 9 and they came up true to size for me. I do have fairly wide feet. Got mine from RunnerInn

Would you say the upper front part is "waterproof" or enough to keep dry feet on a rainy run?? Thanks for the video

Not at all. These shoes embrace the water coming in so it can drain out fast and aid breathability when hot. There are the basic overlays but above this side/top is the open abrasion resistant mesh.

I have the previous Speed ultra which I really liked for the lightness but they are a bit tight fir my wide feet . I am assuming these would be the better choice of successor as the Ultra looks to be too high and cushioned for me ?

@@guzgrant I have wide feet and the original Ultra version too. I feel the new Agravic Speed would be good but there are a few low overlays at side that could be a hotspot at the start until broken in. Took me about 20 miles.

@tomharvey-run Thanks . I will givev them a go . Majority of my daily runs are between 10 -15 miles so I dont really need too much protection .out of interest , why did you send the ultra version back ? Its for me a bit of a waste to own a more cushioned uktra shoe just for events so I generally just stretch out my daily shoe on the day and accept the tiredness as inexorable.

@@guzgrant the Original Agravic ultras were sent back as the UK9 came up too large so had to size down to 8.5. They are my go to race day shoes now for 50-100 mile races. Recently got won and CR the Uk Ultra SD100 in them. I’ll also wear them for Lakeland100 next week.

@tomharvey-run Just watched that video ,congratulations that's impressive stuff . So would you say it's worth having both shoes then or could I stretch out 50 milers in the lighter non ultra version ? Best of luck at lakeland hope you get to consolidate that winning streak .

@@guzgrant Thanks for watching video and reply. The Ultras worked well for the 100 with large rocker and cushioning on dryish trails to protect the legs over such a long distance. The Agravic speeds could stretch out to a 50 miler, the foam is a firm responsive ride and may feel it in the legs in latter stages. Great for getting up/down hills for racing dryish trails. I wore the Zinal 2 for the ARC50 and they were pretty low stack lightweight shoe. Felt it at the end. Guess it helps to have a good form.

@@re7qi yep I’m still using them for short faster dry trail runs. They seem fine, the upper hotspot problem settled after about 20 miles. The lugs wear out fast if used on road so I try to stick to trail.

I don’t have the Bostons, but all other Adidas shoes I have had have been true to size UK9 except for the Agravic Speed Ultras that came up half a size large and needed to go down to 8.5.
