Nobody has hurt me , I have good friends , my family loves me and supports me , still I feel lonely and hopeless about everything. I have become my own enemy. I feel like ending things once and for all can only be the solution and I know I sound like a corny teenager going through heartbreak but that is not it. As someone coming out of addiction and seeing the hope in recovery, this song encapsulates every failed attempt, every struggle to get back up, and how to sit in the discomfort of cravings, damaged relationships and homelessness. Adele, thanks for pouring your heart into this song. I fall to my knees in prayer and lift my eyes in hope for all those who are "holding on" in their lives. We are indeed strong.

I lost my fiance almost 5 months ago and became a single mother. How dark my days have been without him, but I know my girls need me and I keep pushing on. This song resonates with how I've been feeling and is a reminder to keep holding on for my girls 💔

the reason for this is the fact that the song last long 4 minutes to explode, but people in this generation usually don't like to wait 4 mins for an explosion, only 30 seconds or 1 minute

The last 3 songs of the album - Hold on, To be loved, Love is a game - is probably the strongest ending to an album I've ever heard. I can really see why she insisted Spotify make the default on their player not to shuffle, this album is truly most appreciated in it's full form. Also love from the comments how such a huge range of people take all different things from different parts this song, but all share a deep emotional connection, it's honestly songwriting beyond belief.

One of my favourite songs of Adele. The line 'sometimes loneliness is the only rest we get' really hit me, because sometimes it can be the break we didn't know we needed from heartbreak. Also, 'sometimes forgiveness is easiest in secret' - this goes for both forgiving ourselves, and also forgiving others.

I've recently been diagnosed with CRPS.my mobility is crap now.some days I struggle just to walk to the toilet and back without crippling pain which in turn makes me feel so depressed but then I listen to this and it gives me strength to keep going.......and I will!!!

I truly believe that Adele is what our world needs right now. The compassion and humanity I feel that this stupendous album should be heard by everyone. Adele you are a gift to the world. This old girl is so moved by every song and understand the feelings you expressed as I cried,Laughed, felt hope. In my life I have never been more moved. Thank you Adele.

I bought this album for my dad last year for Xmas and this was his favorite song. He passed away in March and now I listen to every word more than ever before

I am going through some extreme postpartum depression. It is soul crushing to see my 2 beautiful girls and think that them and their father would be so much better without me. This song hits so deep! 😢

This song came out 3 yrs ago. It was the only song that I could listen to as I lost 3 women in 2020 who meant the world to me. All I could do was hold on. I miss them like crazy.

Her music destroys me and brings me to my knees in an amazing way. This is my church. Songs like this is why you don't have to go to a building and be surrounded by others for your spirit to be touched and spoken to.

As a big fan of Adele’s, I copped “30” from Spotify this morning while working from home though I had already downloaded “Easy On Me”. While working I couldn’t “fully” listen so later in the evening I picked up the CD at Target for the 3 extra cuts. The Beats audio in my VDub was cranked as high as it could go when “Hold On” played. Just this past Saturday I attended a memorial for a childhood friend of 47yrs who committed suicide. Still, I’m encouraged by Adele’s statement that this song could save a life. Though not for my friend, I shared this video with my many other friends. One might not ever know what other people are going through, but Adele’s powerful lyrics along with her voice will reach someone. This. I. Am. Certain.

For someone that is still battling his demons and then losing my nephew to suicide, this just hit home and always does every time I play this.

I am dealing with an aggressive eating disorder and depression/anxiety. I'm currently in therapy to help and I feel like it has made a world of difference. Adele is a once and a lifetime artist and has inspired me for more than a decade. Thank you for reminding all of us that we're stronger than we give ourselves credit for, the world is better because all of you are apart of it.

Adele did on this album what I needed to hear when I first started my self-awareness journey. Self-forgiveness and self-acceptance is very challenging but she she articulated that so beautifully. Thank you ma'am 🤗

“I’m so tired of battling with myself with no chance to win” Oof Adele you had me there!! Life’s hard!! I have the feeling that to all depressed people, people with anxiety, people with relationship problem she is saying “Hey hold on, it will become better in the end.” I so love her for that! She’s so strong that she just put the deepest emotions into her new album. That my dears is what I call bravery.

This is the track of my life that I didn’t know I needed in order to realise exactly how far I’ve come. I lost my Mum and moved to another country and started my life over even though I also believe time stopped. It’s all a disconnect, but this song allows you to get in touch with your feelings and realise it’s okay and to hold on! Life is so precious and I love how she sings about time and patience as well as wearing your pain graciously 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I’m gonna cry some big tears to this album.

This song has helped me to hold on the darkest hours of my life which has been brought with the war. Sometimes I hear in chorus instead of "love will soon come" - a peace will soon come, just only hold on. I realize that this song for wounded hearts and I don't deserve to make such parallel but this words are also echoed in my heart and bring me strength to believe in our victory and that good days will also soon come. Thank you, Adelle!

“Just hold on” is genuinely some of the best advice I’ve ever received. Adele is an unimaginably talented songwriter.

Adele has left me speechless honestly, with nothing but tears in my eyes from listening to her new album. A masterpiece indeed!!!

I feel like I have grown up with Adele. Her art has gotten me thru the darkest times. I am eternally grateful that she has been able to bless us with her talent.

I heard this song when I needed it most. And I'm very thankful that I came across this song. It even made me cry. Gosh. Life really is hard but you just need to hold on. Thank you Adele for reminding me to keep holding on

I've been through a lot , my hurt journey started losing my mom 9 to cancer and my father never being in my life and then 14 losing my grandmother to diabetes then being in and out of psychiatric hospitals cause i was depressed and wanted to end my life and not to mention going to school being bullied made things worse , then having my grandfather marry my grandma sister (my aunt) and the close relationship i had with my grandfather and others in my family demising because i didnt agree with his decision with marrying her and me at 19 dealing with homelessness up until now at 30 on and off and throughout the years dealing with abusive relationships with men , no real foundation but me alone 😢😢😢 , dealing with depression and just trying to stay strong this song just makes me cry , cause i been through so much and so many losses , i just thank god I'm still here and staying strong 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I watched the interview with Adele and Oprah. Adele's RAW honesty just took my breath away, and touched my heart. In the interview, Oprah kept mentioning the album's song lyrics and how deep the words are. Listening to this song ... wow ... all I can say is that Adele captured perfectly how millions of people have felt or are feeling as they work through their own 'Stuff' on the healing and growth journey. It is A LOT of hard work, struggle, tears, and pain. Watching the interview, and listening to the songs on the new album, I can see Adele did THE work on herself. How brave of her to share her pain with the world. In doing so, she is helping so many people because some days a song is what gets you through the dark moments!

Listened to her sing this live on an audience with Adele last night and every word just hit home. Sobbed like a baby. Absolutely amazing woman 👏👏👏

Adele really hits me in this song. I've been in a situation that I am lost and I don't know what I'm going to do. Doubts, depression, anxiety, and the worst, all the negativities I thought about overwhelmed me. I was a mess in that time. Been going out party for no reason then sulking in the room afterwards realizing that all the problems and the situation I am into won't fade. I've been doing nothing and thinking of ending it up. Yes, mental health is really a serious problem when it has complications. Instead of wasting the time of sulking, thinking of ending up everything with just one blow made me realized that there's more ahead of me. I thought of "What if I can make it this time if I just hold on and be strong?" Yes, I stood up again after being so depressed. I've corrected my ways and focused for what is best in me. I can't deny that I still have failures in life but I really don't want to eaten by negativities. I kept on going and hold on into what I desire in my life. I keep those people who are true to me and helped me, and family is one of it. In terms of friends, I only have a few friends to count on but I don't rely to them. They're just their when I need comfort and advises and so am I to them. And today, this song really boost me up more that I'll keep on holding on for myself because I am strong in whatever problems I will face soon. Thank you Adele for sharing this song to everyone not just me but to other people who are in a situation of thinking that there's nothing ahead of them.
