Just listened to this for the first time in years, it still breaks my heart. My Son was ill with his mental health when it was first out, he's recovered now and doing amazing. But 3 times I almost lost him, 3 times I had my heart ripped out from me. I used to play this to him all the time, telling him he was my absolute world and that I would walk over hot coals and bang on every door to get him better. Eight years later, he thanked me for never giving up.

Mothers are so strong, I don’t know what I’d do without my mom. I’ve struggled with my mental health for a while. I didn’t tell anyone for a long time, but one day I decided to tell my mom and she prayed with me and always encourages me to fight trough everything. Both me and your son are blessed with the best thing we could have asked for, a great mother. Im sure your son is so very grateful and feels an un describable love for you just like I do for my mom. Never listened to the words before. But then my wife and I watched this video. Wow! It's a very moving song! Adele is amazing!

I think the reason why so many songs are about youth is because when we look back to our childhood days, we realize how much we loved those days, and how fast they went. To all the children here, appreciate what you have for now, these are the best days of our life.

+Patrik Radelj it's more the strength and the depth of tone in her voice which makes her a great singer, not the number of octaves. I just didn't know she could hit a note like that, her range in 19 and 21 wouldn't suggest she could. And even when Hello came out I thought she was scraping at the top of her range. So when she belted that note in this song I was really shocked.

Why are people saying this note is the highest she has ever done, it isn't. I hear a D5 which can be heard in multiple other songs of hers: i.e. One and Only or her cover of Fool That I Am. The highest mixed voice note I have heard Adele sing is an E5/Eb5 in Someone Like You. Hello goes up to a B4 in chest/mix and a G5 in falsetto (which isn't staggering considering most baritones can hit that note.) But anyway, she is starting explore her range more which is good to see. But no matter what, her tone is everything :3

The chorus says, "We were scared of getting old, it made us restless" until the last one which says "Oh I'm so mad I'm getting old, it makes me reckless". She's coming to terms with the fact that the shared feeling is no longer there since the person she was sharing it with is no longer with her. It's so subtle and just amazing.

Does it ever get better? I mean, at this point with my husband’s illness, he doesn’t know me. I pray for a peaceful quick passing for him. I will miss him and I don’t want to lose him but dementia has already taken him from me. Does it ever get better and hurt less? God bless you

I only respect artists that can put a live recording out there and still sound phenomenal

I love how at the start there's commotion and a buzz of positive energy. Then Adele absolutely crushes it with her performance and at the end, everyone is silent and shook from witnessing godlike vocals and emotions. Brilliant!

One of the most beautiful voices of this decade

This song really had me crying out loud. I am having trouble facing the all inevitable experience of aging. I never really had the chance to be reckless as a kid, due to life's circumstances chaning my view of life at a very young age. I am getting back into singing and am starting to take requests from family and friends. One of them chose this song and I have to say, this will be one of the hardest songs to learn, not just musically, but mentally. I can only hope to get through what I am going through so I can sing this for her. What a deep song.

Today this song reminded me to connect with others. We are all longing for that connection to our past. Even if you just let someone tell their stories - to reminisce - we can allow that joy into this present moment.

My childhood friend recently passed away and this song really reminds me of him. He would come to town almost every summer to stay with his grandma. We used play outside all day with our friends until the street lights came on. When we got to high school we grew apart. I’m in college now and about three months ago I hear from his grandmother that he passed. Still feels unreal. I always thought I’d see him again. I miss you old friend, I hope you’re resting easy🙏🏽🕊

The studios are in Crouch End where I used to live (I still live in the borough). I used to walk past the studios with my mum when I was going to infant school. Before the Eurythmics recorded there, the studios were used to film Trumpton, Chigley and Camberwick Green. U2 used recently to finish their latest album and Bob Dylan recorded their in the 80s.
