This is what I love about Studio 1. I just think about a feature I would like to have and then Gregor comes around the corner and tells me how it´s works.

i hope nothing changes as far as the software goes concerning with fender buying out presonus. i love the software. i hope they dont go all subscription based with the software and i hope it remains affordable.

I'm worried, tbh. Unless Fender gives the tonemaster technology to Presonus products. But no forced subscriptions please. Else, I'm moving to another DAW.

Every software company I've been reselling have all moved to subscription base. It sucks as you're paying rent for the rest of your life on software. And if you cancel, there goes the software. This is likely done so software developers can have more of a rock steady revenue stream. Its good to see Reason, Native Instruments and several others have not gone this route which may keep shackles on Fender's ankles.

It’s not sphere but u do realize u can rent to own studio one through Splice

After over 30 years professionally producing, composing arranging and mixing music and being a ProTools user for the last 16 years, I’m pretty sure that I will go with S1 very soon… I really like what I see more and more. :))

@@citizenworld8094 I agree with this. If you are serious about video (composing to video and editing), I would keep working with pro tools or Nuendo (which is what I use and it's top class). S1 is not there just yet!

Really nice tutorial! I wonder if it is possible to add multiple audio tracks with specified input? I find myself adding 11-12 audio tracks very often when I want to record my drums. It would be very nice to have a macro for that.

Awesome. I can't get "Add insert to selected channels" to work on the Main/Master Output, though. Probably because it is a "Track" macro and the Main output is not linked to any track specifically?

My only problem is I start running out of keyboard shortcut combos. Thanks, this is super useful for speeding up workflow!

who created studio one is a genious, i am not talking about this video, but honestly studio one is the feature, a have used ableton, fl studio, reason, honestly studio one have the best workflow ever, they thing about your necessity and gave you solution immediatly, i never tought that i could switch fl studio, and ableton. studio one you have all in one. studio one is way in the feature than other daws

Great video, Gregor. Best yet? Probably. I use external reverb and effects units and have them set up as external instruments in Studio One and write automation and information to an instrument track as a way to preserve settings (and because my battery is dead on my TC M4000 so I can't save settings.) Is there a way to do this with external instruments, which are oddly missing from the list of instruments?

I wonder if the Stream Deck could be natively recognized by Studio One. I believe right now you'd have to set it up such that the Stream Deck issues a keypress, and then you'd have to bind a keyboard shortcut inside Studio One.

These operations can be done also with Stream Deck controller (from Elgato)? Can you do a short video about how to configure it in Studio One? It is possible to do some plugin for this controller as a software as Steinberg did?

I would like to open Impact XT on the tablet to play and record drums, I don't have a physical pad (eg. Presonus Atom). Thanks in advance!

I have an Atom hooked up to Studio One Artist which I am finding really great especially when writing drum tracks. Nice feature. It makes me think of an improvement to the studio one macro system. Please tell me if it already exists. It would be to have a control panel containing a selected set of colored buttons freely attachable to macros, even with a paging facility and page titles. Any Studio One standard or custom macro could be assigned to one of these buttons inside the relevant page. A global shorcut would bring to this macro control panel and allow to launch any of these pre-assigned macros. Thanks to let me know if this would be interesting as a Studio One improvement.

Geeeeeeeeeez, I REALLY need to dive into the macros more. I already know how it works and still I underestimate its power!

They really need to put some kind of search/filter functionality into the Macro Organiser.

S1 is amazing and so the company. I'm very worried about Fender taking over, since they've haven't evolved hence artist like John mayer living Fender for another company. Also they messed up Riff Station, a great app. Gregor, put out a statement on this if you're allowed. Thanks.

@@presonus what does GBY mean ? According to video it is superrrr complicated to set up , key command + command ... I want to be able to do like in Ableton . Save "rack" in S1 situation save preset and then to be able to easily map it to a botten on stream deck with a photo of the plugin .... I find that this feature alone of added to studio one ... Like integration with elgato stream deck is going to be a bangerrrr . Please do that
