He gives it to angel whenever sex is coming up, so angel never wants the feeling that the saliva makes him feel to end.

Val is Mothman, not a full-on moth (Actual adult moths don't have saliva, since their only mouthpart is a proboscis, and some species have NO mouths since they don't eat as adults). His saliva represents pheromones that female moths use to help them find mates. It's used as a love potion/roofie in the show. Real fucked up shit. @@V_the_he

What I like is that these two songs together have two meanings. You have the storyline of an abusive relationship where the person tries to stay, poisoned by what they think is love and hoping they can help change their partner The second story is the abuse of drugs. The drug's effects being compared to poison as the person knows it's not healthy, but that doesn't automatically stop an addiction, it's a struggle

I think this remix should be called "The Highs and Lows". Addict represents the highs and how Angel copes and then Poison is when he snaps back into reality.

Woah, this had NO right to go this hard. Quite the surprise, well done :)

Back in 2020 I was literally addicted to Addict(lol), since I felt kind of identified due to my depression problems. Now I’ve fallen into depression once again because of ending my toxic relationship that lasted for almost 6 years, and I have listened to Poison thousands of times since it came out, in some way I identify a little with Angel's case, so this mashup hit me very hard, it is very well done

Considering how completely different these songs actually are, this was some really impressive work. The verses were a bit rough to blend together in a way that didn't sound messy but you nailed it pretty well by keeping the Addicts voice at a low. I could tell you had quite a bit of fun with it, and to be honest, thats what matters most. Well done 👏🏽

I think this song describes what's going on in Angel's mind very carefully 👍

I love coming back to this remix because with how it mashes them up, you can really see the difference in the songs- something feels more directly tragic about Poison, or at least different aspects of what he has to go through- Poison portraying a more direct look at it all, the only pretending to be ok he gets is the dancing choreography- of which someone told me it could be his dissociation from the pain to convince himself he’s dancing instead of forced to do things- And while addict doesn’t make light of these situations- it’s way more behind the curtain, it still feels like he has some freedom from a so with Cherri, one friend. Even if she just encourages him to indulge rather than get help- it’s only the ending of both songs that feel exactly the same in hopelessness because that’s when Cherri isn’t there, angel can’t even fully express it to her. And I love being able to gleam this from hearing both side by side!

I am in LOVE with the fact that you added addicts reprise version in the end alongside the last few lines of poison!
