This kinda represents how I view Al and Husk's relationship. My head-canon is that Husker is Alastor's first and best friend and probably was when they were alive. Husk is the only one in the hotel (besides probably Niffty) that isn't scared of Al at all and calls him out on his shit.

Alastor was born around the 1890s-1900s, and died in 1933 in his early to mid 30’s. Husk was probably born around the same time as Alastor, because he died in the 1970’s at the age of 60-70. This meaning they would have existed in each other’s time lines, even if they died 40+ years apart. Probably even being the same age or having only a short difference. My theory is that since they both co-existed, they must’ve crossed lines while on earth. They both met each other at a bar, since Alastor does drink heavy liquors like whiskey. They became friends, good friends at that, but somewhere in between the timeline Alastor proposed him an offer. Husk’s life is, well, sad. Alastor must’ve noted on that and maybe made him a deal of some sort. Husk accepted it, and therefore sold his soul, and now his soul is compromised to Alastor in hell. :))

I have a theory regarding the relationship between alastor, husk, and nifty What if alastor secretly believes in Charlie's idea in redemption for demons? That can explain why he brought husk and nifty with him into the hotel as "staff." He knows/thinks he can't be redeemed so he tries to redeem husk and nifty instead. This can also be interpreted as alastor's way to "experiment" to see if Charlie's idea is actually possible, which can also give him hope for his own redemption as well. Just a thought tho 😀

in doing that, Alastor would, unknowingly, work towards his own redemption. Not believing he earns it for himself, but trying to give two of his associates (maybe friends?) a fair shot at it. He's too far gone, but wants to try what he thinks is best for others. That does sound quite selfless, if you ask me. also, if you think about it: Alastor pulled Husker away from a gambling table, from one of his vices. Sure, you could say it was a coincidence, but I don't think it was. I believe Alastor knew what Husker was up to in that exact moment. With Nifty, it's a bit harder to pin down, but I think he knew that she needed a purpose, something to do. and so he pulled her in and gave her just that...

I think so to. It makes sense if people think about it. A quote I found works for this, “there is always a secret behind the smile.” Perhaps the reason he toppled the overlords was so their wouldn’t enslave the souls that were trapped already but to not look weak he made it look like he was the bad guy. Which would explain why he acts all sadistic and crazy. Anyone can be redeemed, even in the blackest nights there is light. Sometimes you just to look deeper.

You guys are making some leaps in logic. You're assuming your premise to be true, and looking for things that satisfy the conditions. A far simpler explanation is that Alastor wants to assist Charlie (like he said he would), and providing her with staff to help make sure her dreams at least sort of gets off the ground is the least he could do. This seems to be a developing problem in the Hazbin Hotel fandom. People are legit forgetting that Alastor is a violent sadist who is literally only helping Charlie because he wants to watch the people she tries to help fail. But almost the entire fandom is now "UwU Deer Daddy can punish ME anytime!".

This song really represents both of them accurately! It not only represents their relationship,(I say “relationship” because I’m sure their backstories intertwine at some point) but it’s really similar to their personalities as well! All in all, this was the perfect song for Alastor and Husk. I loved watching/listening to this! 😁

I do. Recently heard this and snatched it. The duet is brilliant! Now it makes me think of the Independent ending of Fallout New Vegas. *Fits my fan fiction, i've warped it a bit.

I like how once the deal is struck they start singing the song together. i know thats a simple thing but its cool and i like what i like,.

I still don't get why people think Alastor is the main antagonist, I can't really see him like that lmao

I personally feel he would be in the neutral side of things, but I can see why they think Alastor would be the main antagonist. That reason being Vaggies story and how Alastor is presented then a power show at the end

@@gabrielwoomack1906 According to what I read and seen...Yea he is an overlord and he has toppled the powerful ones as well. That does not mean he is the number 1 overlord of hell. You still got Vox and Valentino and Lucifer.

Even though Lucifer is the king, overlords are classified as extremely powerful demons, so Lucifer falls under this category
