Not sure what is different here than with my 2014 LR4. I've done all these steps, but still cannot successfully make a new key. I'm waiting for an actual OEM fob to come in the mail to see if that makes a difference, but so far I can't get this function to work, and it's the main reason I bought the tool in the first place to keep the dealership out of my pockets. UPDATE: As it turns out it was the aftermarket fobs that were worthless. I bought a used Land Rover fob with the logo on the back, and the IID Tool turned it into a working spare in 5 minutes. The fob makes ALL the difference.

Thank you so much for your great video. I heard the GAP IID tool is a must have...do you happen to know if one can access Global Open with it? I would like to it shut off in my truck, but cannot seem to find the answer anywhere. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Hey, thanks glad to hear it! Unfortunately, I can't tell you if the global open function of the windows can be disabled via the IID tool. I have not yet noticed a menu item for my Discovery in this regard. Greetings, Peter

I'm having the same issue + I can't send the ECU Info, it says I can't generate email because I need to have an email account. My account has an email added to it, it's wierd. I wrote to GAP Team, waiting for their reply.

Guten Tag ich wollte auch einen neuen Schlüssel anleren. Aber ich muss zunächst ECU Flash-KVM Keyless durchführen und dann nochmal die Info an Gap schicken. War das bei dir auch der Fall?

Hey, if I’m right then you should be able to do this with the IID tool. The price for the tool you’ll find on the GAP Diagnostics website. Also you’ll need a blank key for the programming. Best regards, Peter

Einfacher für mich wäre, wenn GAP die Software in Deutsch machen würde. Gutes und ehrliches Video, da sieht man das nicht immer alles auf anhieb funktioniert.

@Walter Gabauer Das muss ich persönlich sagen stört mich nicht so. Aber die Oberfläche könnte mal ein Redesign vertragen, sodass einige Punkte bzw. Kategorien verständlicher sind. Icons würden einem das Leben auch schon erleichtern. Aber trotz alledem noch immer eines der besten Aftermarket-Tools.

@@notthatkindofachannel ja das ist richtig. Aber mein Englisch ist nicht so gut wie bei dir.

Ich habe einen Schlüssel verloren und zum Glück wiedergefunden. In der Zwischenzeit habe ich ein Angebot von Landrover bekommen für einen neuen Zweitschlüssel. Die wollten sage und schreibe 950 Euro dafür haben. Sie meinten, es könnte sein, das die neue Steuergeräte dafür einbauen müssen. Die Wahrheit ist, die nehmen einen neuen Schlüssel für 30 Euro aus dem Regal und programmieren den innerhalb von 30 Minuten auf das Fahrzeug und kassieren dann für die ganze Arbeit mindestens 800 Euro zu viel... Eigentlich müsste man Landrover dafür den Mittelfinger zeigen!!!!

Hey, ja Land Rover hat da eine ganz seltsame Herangehensweise was deren Preisgestaltung angeht. Aber das man das Steuergerät dafür tauschen muss ist schon eine Frechheit. Denn wie du schon richtig schreibst, Schlüssel für ein paar € und dann noch anlernen bzw. programmieren. Das dauert selbst mit dem IID Tool keine 30 Minuten. Viele Grüße, Peter

@@notthatkindofachannel Deine Formulierung ist echt zurückhaltend. 🤗 Ich habe immer das Gefühl, wenn die merken, da kann man Geld ziehen, dann tun die das auch. Kundenbindung ist denen völlig egal... Aber BMW kann das genauso. Meine Frau fährt einen X3. Da war eine Xenon Birne etwas gelber wie die andere. Da haben die Freundlichen in ihr System geguckt und meinten, das würde 850 Euro kosten. 😂😂😂 Meine Frau war komplett geschockt. 😕 Ich habe dann die originale Xenon Birne für 25 Euro gekauft und ausgetauscht. BMW hat tatsächlich die Osram Birne im Set für 600 Euro im System. Das Tauschen sollte dann auch noch einmal 250 Euro kosten. Statt einer Birne direkt zwei und das völlig überteuert 🤣🤣🤣 das sind Penner...
