You know how iconic a film prop is when you see it decades later and still get that feeling of amazement you had when you saw the first movie. Great products and passion for authenticity. Love it!

Modifying the last Haslab products (pack and wand) have proven truly rewarding for the community. Having two more "key" components of a Ghostbusters kit on the way offers so much promise. Considering the R&D and manufacturing which has to happen in these mass-produced products, the price point on these is very reasonable when compared to what you would pay for replicas in the community. Looking forward to this!

You are comparing the cost to be mass produced by the 1st party license holder who is a billion dollar company with massive resources and facilities, who I will note has already spent 90% of the costs by the time the Preorder goes live, to the cost by some skilled artist to build by hand often from scratch....riiight.

@@Dashierez and a skilled artist will easily justify their asking price for something that is carefully crafted with extraordinary detail. I was more commenting on the relative expense given so many balk at the Haslab project price, yet that level of detail will likely satisfy a great number of people who can't afford the price point of the skilled artist. I still see comments about the cost of the pack and wand combo and the amount spent on top of that to modify it, yet the overall cost (in time and dollars) is still below the price of some replicas and didn't require ownership and knowledge of 3D printers to DIY the whole thing at home. And it's not a race to the bottom to force the replica makers to drop their prices to match the billion dollar company, it's just lowering the barrier of entry to those who know their price point.

The pneumatic covers for display are genius, I'm also glad to see that the holsters are being made with beefy materials. I was worried they wouldn't hold up to trooping.

I love it when Adam yells "NO" as a positive thing. It's like watching a kid in a toy store that was told he can have everything he wants for free. Lol. And yes, I said "sweet" when they took the trap cartridge out. Lmbo.

I'm basically losing my mind over this. My uncle and cousin made so much fun of me when I showed up with the pack, and the moment they put it on they were running around the house with it like complete children too. I'm collecting mod parts for it, and eventually getting high end jump suit.

Most of us KNEW pke/trap were next to come out!! Glade/hope Hasbro listened to us; Thanks! I do wonder if Ecto-goggles are next? Slime blower would be TOO god damn expensive!

if they can make these incredible props for the pack wand meter and trap than they can make a wire that looks like a pneumatic valve

"We got the TOOLS and we got the TALENT!!" Back off man, I'm a scientist! I'm a GBFANS "hardware store" pack veteran! I used EVA wall insulation foam sheets to cut out the polygonal shapes and followed the plans (rough as they were in 1999) for the greeblies, wires and tubes etc. Actually I made not one but FOUR and found flight suits for me and my three best buds in uni. We looked so good and blew everyone away at the costume contest.

To be clear, this isn't going to drop. You either back the Haslab crowdfunding for it in the next 5 days or you don't get it till someone is selling theirs for a ridiculous mark up on the aftermarket.

This is beyond awesome. I've been hoping for a new trap since the Matty release over a decade ago. I modded the Wal-Mart foot pedal trap a few years ago and am really proud of how it turned out but this puts that to bed. The features in this trap exceed my greatest hopes as a collector! Removable cartridge? Ion rod specific sfx? Metal belt plate? I am cheezing out over this! Well done! As always, it's great seeing Adam's exuberance and joy over the little details.

Thank you Adam & the Tested Staff - your proton pack review made me aware of that project, for a prop that I wanted for over 35 years...and of course I already backed the Two in the Box Bundle! Thank you Haslab for your excellent products, attention to detail and respecting the fans!

It’s incredible to me how symbiotic this relationship has become between the fans and the brand. Massive respect to Hasbro for their transparency with the fans. 🤝

Backed this yesterday. I bought the Neutrona wand as a mass-market release and went with the Full-size Spirit pack, but this seems like too good a pair of products to pass on. My only two criticisms are: The PKE metre needs heaps more weathering (hopefully it's just a first pass and will be improved before release) and I really wish the PKE metre had the same level of customisability as the trap. The afterlife taser feature is ok but I'd love to be able to remove the red switch, take off the taser nubbins and cover-up that big unsightly purple window on top for a GB1/GB2 look. That would be the ultimate 20k backer reward rather than just another cloth badge!

In a movie full of cool props, the Ghostbusters Trap was my favorite, ever since I was a kid. And this recreation of the movie prop is amazing.

Someone should make the containment unit like was mentioned, but like a vault (and a secure one if you could afford it) and you can drop your keys or wallet into the trap before you insert it into the containment system. I love all of these shows... so awesome!

Love it 80s kid at heart, I still love Ghostbusters.

PKE arms and switch should be removable/replaceable so can be OG look if wanted. Great looking stuff!

As a kid, I owned the RGB blue plastic proton pack, trap, and the PKE meter set. Playing with these toys when I was a kid thinking "I want to be a Ghostbuster when I grow up" it's amazing that as an adult I can actually BE a Ghostbuster with these awesome prop replica toys from Hasbro! Cannot wait til they start shipping these and I can add them to my collection AND my cosplay.

I KNEW that tech patch was on the black jackets in the movie!!

I got so excited when the cartridge came out, I wondered for one insane second if HasLab was going to make a wall mounted containment unit for a crowdfund. :D

Loving the fact that this video dropped with just 5 days left to back the Two in the Box campaign. If this was shot at ~6,500 backers like Kevin mentioned, that means this video was actually produced around 4 weeks ago. Hopefully that short window of time left means we get over the 20k backer threshold since people won't have time to think *too much* about spending the money on these lol. Pretty sure the first mod I'll be doing is replacing the god awful looking cloudy yellow relay with a new one...assuming it uses a standard 8 or 11-pin octal base. Maybe weather it just a touch with some watered down lamp black so it doesn't look *too* clean, throw a SmokeGenie in the middle, maybe upgrade the speaker drivers, and call it a day.

It was at 16500ish for the past couple weeks. With this video it jumped to 17700. Less than 300 needed for the PKE belt pouch. They Don't have any tiers listed at 20 000 so maybe that will get unveiled if they hit 18 000. I'm not sure the PKE meter would have done as well on it's own but I'm glad the double pack is pretty much guarantee to hit the max tier that we know of already.

@@chamoo232 I could very well be wrong on my timeline, i just kind of remember the numbers being stuck in the 16's at least 3 weeks back. And Kevin said the engineer patch was unlocked at 20k. I really only care about unlocking the two holsters though...the patches look pretty second-rate in quality. No life to them unlike the GBPatches or Todd Cook ones.

@@therealmitch-a-palooza7262 The engineer patch is not even on the website so I think they have a new secret tier at 20k. The PKE holster is listed for 18 000 backers. 17,843 right now. Trap holster is already unlocked and the PKE one is pretty much guarantee too at this point unless they can't get 160 more backers in 5 days.

This is the last boost we needed, 18k here we go

I'm really excited for this! I hopped on board the HasLab Proton Pack a bit later than I'd have liked, but I'm still happy to be part of it. When they revealed the Ghost Trap and P.K.E. Meter, I backed it within seconds! I can't wait to get my hands on it and see what the community comes up with in terms of mods. Modding and tinkering with my HasLab Pack has been incredibly enjoyable. I've learned so much and met amazing, helpful people in the community. Hopefully, we can surpass 18k backers and even reach 20k! While I'm not particularly excited about the patch, I'm curious to see what other goodies they might include at that tier.

Honestly surprised by the price point. Pretty impressive craftsmanship in this :D

I saw this set, and immediately thought "Go on, take my money.". I had to get these. No surprise, it passed all the tiers. Can't wait to get it now.

This thing is my childhood dream brought to reality! Incredible attention to detail and truly a wonderful addition to any Ghostbusters fan's collection. I'll unfortunately have to add this in the aftermarket much later due to work lacking at the moment but its still a pleasure to share in Adam's and the rest of the fandom geeking out over it!

This was probably the nerdiest, but coolest thing I ever watched and saw. Man, they nailed it!

I literally backed the haslab project halfway into this episode. Adam’s genuine glee convinced me I’m gonna flip when I’ve got these beautiful props in my hands.🎉❤

Looking forward to these... and the inevitable Paragoggles, of course. Maybe they'll pack a Belt Gizmo in with them?

The excitement of the creators of these props, their dedication to the craft and, indeed, to play, throws the absolute moral bankruptcy of Hasbro’s leadership into stunning relief. I don’t know how to support Hasbro and stay in solidarity with their workers any longer.

I fully appreciate what a downer comment I’ve just made. The props are beautiful.

We need the goggles! The matty series was great for those who were able to get them, but the goggles were sub par. I have 2 pair, one open one sealed. But the open ones worked for a few days then stopped. Think that should be the next to be done.

Watching this video has brought me nostalgic feelings as a child of the 80s, brings back such memories.

Kevin looks and sounds like he should be selling chamois and knife sets on daytime TV 😁 Hasbro NEED to add the smoke generator as a standard feature but seriously, they have hit the ball clean out of the park with that trap. That isn't a toy it's a prop replica and if the production model turns out that nice, it's an incredible one.

Just a suggestion with the PKE meter, one don’t you take the tech from a K-2 meter for ghost hunting EMF detection and put that into the PKE meters and have it fully functional? That would be the dopest tool ever.

I kinda feel like for 20k backers we should have gotten something more substantial than a patch that tons of ppl are going to recreate. How that trap was produced WITHOUT standard smoke effects is beyond me! Smoke should have been a no brainer. That would have been a better 20k bonus.

I love this! I wish I had known about the proton pack HasLabs made before it was sold out. I dressed up as a Ghostbuster multiple Halloweens as a kid and always had the most crap "proton pack". It was usually a spray painted cardboard box with a bunch of accoutrements made of colored paper and various craft supplies.

@@w4SwD The wand wasn't a limited edition item. It is still readily available. & They won't be rereleasing the pack. It was always a one off collectable item. It was billed that way. To go back on that would make for a hefty lawsuit from those who bought it with that knowledge

So, I have a heavily modified Spirit PKE meter. But, I HAD to back this one. I missed the Proton Pack, and was always kicking myself for that one. Just wish they were releasing in time for Frozen Empire.

I cant wait to get this. Im also gonna need to know how adam manually added the smoke to the trap for my own use, maybe he can show us in another episode??

Really liking how they toned down the rust on the trap, because initially it seems like there was too much. Hope the lights coming out of the trap can be a bit brighter on launch, and I can't wait to hear the screen accurate sounds in the finished product! Also, make those PKE meter arms a bit more sturdy, hahaha.

Backed it weeks ago! Cannot wait. I always thought someone should make an EMF meter that looked like a PKE meter. I'm so stoked. I can't wait to compare my actual EMF to this one to see how well it works lol!

The trap was always my favorite prop in the movie.

This is something so cool to see. I was estatic when I saw the proton pack. I wish I could have afforded all these HasLabs and had room to display them. Because I do love Ghostbusters. However it is not my main fandom, and there is a rumored upcoming HasLab for my favorite fandom that, part of me hopes it's not a HasLab, but if it is, I am saving my money for it to complete my collection.

I had high hopes for these and was kinda worried after that first prototype at the convention. These look so good. I just hope we don't see the same issues like the pack hose connection.

As cool as all of these items are, I love to hear that the PKE Meter actually incorporates are working EMF Detector. Awesome.

I'm not a GB cosplayer or collector (and I'm broke!), so I'm not supporting this HasLab, but my favorite feature is that they're putting a real EMF meter in the PKE. It's such a fun touch of reality intermixing with the fantasy.

Damn it Adam! You've now cost me a thousand bucks with these videos 😂

I wanted this gear sooo freekin bad as a kid, but I wanted it to be real! I never took the movie as a joke, I had already seen enough in my single digits to know this sht is absolutely real. I wanted a real proton pack to shoot the sht that refused to leave me alone at night! And now middle aged I still want a real one! Cheers 🍻

Excited to see this side by side with my scratch built props, and my matty collector replicas.

Adam - please persist in asking Hasbro reps to make the 84 Wand - they already had the Spengler wand but most of us want the OG, not to mention they made it so the pack could be stickered out like the 84 pack. I've got an 84 pack sitting here with no wand. They also have the opportunity to NOT have to work with old tech, they can improve the 84 wand to make sure it interacts with the pack the way it should.

Tip of the hat to Haslab! Also some of the modders out there have really done beautiful work. I think they could easily get a job in hollywood with their talents in prop building/fabricating.

Compared to the other traps that ha e come out. Because of the build quality, it's gotta be the least expensive combo because it's not just cheap plastic, this is a solid build.

Yeah there are other official replicas that don't even do as much or look as good that cost more than this double pack.

For the ghost trap, we should have been able to add in a "jukebox" mode where we can play the GB1 and GB2 soundtracks.

Very excited. I'm hoping the community does its thing and creates mods & tutorials for "de-weathering" them. I'm not as fond as most of the "been sitting around for fourty years" look.

Literally all you need is a clean set of stickers & some isopropyl alcohol to wipe the weathering paint off with. Both already exist

I know this is basically a commercial, but because I also know that Adam really is into this stuff - I don't mind that it's a commercial. His excitement and enjoyment coupled with his knowledge and skill is what keeps me coming to this channel. He's not hawking Raid Shadow Legends, he shills stuff he's actually interested in and actually using. Or, that lets him do cool stuff (like the Starfield model spaceship build).

This was such a joy to watch.

Man I cannot wait to see the final product.
