Most of their stuff is similar. You'd like them if you like this. They can vary a lot though. I wonder how many rap fans would like this if they gave it a shot. I mean, when someone really wants me to listen to a rap song they really like, I generally like it, and if I don't I can appreciate the artistry of of it. I feel like that's what music is, art in it's greatest form

Korn was at the forefront of the genra called nu metal. It was basically rock/metal mixed with hip hop elements. No way you can grasp how huge this band was. They started to knock all the boy bands off the top of the charts, which were power houses back then.

Yes, EVERY Korn song is like this, you will love them!! Before you got trolled into a reaction for the song Daddy, which is very very OMG disturbing in the extreme. Raw and real, but NOT the song that you should hear from them first. Freak On A Leash is one of their biggest hits and still kicks ass 20 years later now!!! You should try some songs like: "Never, Never" "Spike In My Veins" "Thoughtless" "Got the Life" "Falling Away From Me" "Y'all Want A Single" "Blind" um.... Ice Cube is on "Children Of The Korn" and Skrillix is on "Get UP" and they have a song w/Nas I can't remember the title of off top of my head. They're style is called Nu-Metal, and they pretty much invented it. They are true rock stars!!

The genre that they play is Nu Metal, it's basically metal with rap influence and sometimes sampling. The best example of the genre is Slipknot which become famous for it (and they are one of the biggest metal bands nowadays) and you should check them out if you liked freak on a leash. I recommend their song Psychosocial :)

  • @TheBlackQueen

Nu Metal is more generally a combination of Hip Hop, Electronic, and Metal. Bands Korn, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park. Rap Metal is more straight forward Metal with Rap vocals. Best example is Rage Against The Machine (and not many other good ones imo).

  • @martinvelev1980

@@TheBlackQueen I agree, many of the Nu metal bands (especially hearing them nowadays) don't sound too good, but Slipknot exploded in popularity with their iowa album which was considered a Nu metal album and honestly it's still good today. They have since then become just a metal band but at one point they were grouped with Korn and Limp Biscuit (2 bands that have not aged well)

@@fatshady5714 I stand corrected. Thanks. Epic has this hip hop sound in the verses and Korn has some hip hop influences. I guess I speak loosely, but thank you.

@@headsicknation1365 I didn't mean to come off like a dick my friend. Actually, a good suggestion of a band who sounds MUCH more like Korn would be Coal Chamber. If you haven't heard them yet, start off with their song "Loco," you'll definitely dig it!🤘💀🤘

My favorite Korn songs (besides this one) - “Y’all Wanna Single” “Twisted Transistor” “Another Brick in the Wall (Pink Floyd cover)” “Got the Life” “Make Me Bad” “Coming Undone” “Thoughtless” “Alone I Break” “Trash” there’s a few more but that’s what I can think of right now.

Lead singer Jonathan Davis basically wrote this song 🎧 about the music industry and how he basically feels like he’s being walked around like a dog on a leash and there making all this money off them, like there taking a part of him! It’s a great song, the bullets flying around kids on the street or wherever they are is kinda a reference to a old gun control public service announcement! Can I recommend there song Twisted Transistor! I think you’ll dig it🤟

Hi there, you just got a new subscriber. I'm watching almost all your videos and as a metal fan at the base (but I listen to absolutely everything as long as it touches me and like you I'm curious about new experiences in sound and musical cultures). I really appreciate your open mind and the way you discover these songs. I will have so many suggestions to make to you but to stay with Korn I offer you "Blind" the official video it is with this that I had discovered them and immediately hooked at a time when I was very involved in a style more underground metal (we'll talk about it again if you want, you can find treasures musically speaking both in the lyrics with very serious themes and in the music itself, trust me) I'll be happy without spamming you to give you some examples old school as well as more modern examples. in any case I send you strength for your channel !!!
