"A cheap f*** for me to lay." The song is about the music industry, and you're in the industry, so draw your own conclusion. The stuff in the middle was a kind of scat singing, in a Jazz sort of way. Korn is a fusion of Hip Hop, Funk, Metal, and some Jazz sort of ideas. Nu Metal. When Korn hit, it blew out minds. No one sounded like Korn. Try Blind.

Cliff, if you wanna see how huge Korn was, check out ‘Blind’ from Woodstock 99 and also the vid for ‘Blind’ from Rock am Ring 2006 or 7? with Joey Jordison drumming for them that tour. Those crowds were INSANE!! I saw Korn 3 times in the late 90s and their concerts were AMAZING, they sounded fantastic, the bass hit SO HARD! I still have my armband from a show in 97 or 98 when the opening band pulled my friend and I on stage and I remember looking at all our friends in group we came with as they pulled us up…talk about HYPED!! They put the two of us behind the band in this cage type things, there were strippers above us, it was bananas!! We were slam dancing so hard we kept bouncing off each other! It was one of the most epic experiences of my life!! The band was like 10 feet in front of us - it was unreal! That was our Senior year of high school and I will never forget it as long as I live!! I think that show was in Memphis. Could have been Little Rock, AR. Back then, Korn was on top of the world and damn! What a time to be alive!!!

Jonathan is a pro at this (listen to "Twist") There's a follow up to this vid to the single from "issues" (1999) "Falling Away From Me" (director.... fred durst. )

Korn has some amazing music. If you liked that beatboxing moment, check out "Twist' as the entire song is him doing that. There's some words thrown in there after he says "Go". True story, Korn helped Limp Bizkit get signed after Fred First the lead singer cut the hair of members of Korn while he played their demos in the background. Tech N9ne did a song with Jonathon Davis from Korn called "starting to turn"

Loved Korn. A lot of their music was raging against innocence lost in one form or another. Dropped hard with blind, and ball tongue. Twist is how to do a song without words, Swallow is good and as a rap guy you might like Wicked, Children of the Korn, or All in the Family. Falling away from me and Beg for me are favorites of mine.

(So do I) Can't I take away all this pain? (You wanna see the light) I try to every night, all in vain, in vain Sometimes I cannot take this place Sometimes it's my life I can't taste Sometimes I cannot feel my face You'll never see me fall from grace Something takes a part of me You and I were meant to be A cheap fuck for me to lay Something takes a part of me Feeling like a freak on a leash (you wanna see the light) Feeling like I have no release (so do I) How many times have I felt diseased? (You wanna see the light) Nothing in my life is free, is free Sometimes I cannot take this place Sometimes it's my life I can't taste Sometimes I cannot feel my face You'll never see me fall from grace Something takes a part of me You and I were meant to be A cheap fuck for me to lay Something takes a part of me Go So fight, something on the ming-a-boo Fight, some things they fight So something on the ming-a-boo Fight, some things they fight Fight, something on the ming-a-boo No, some things they fight Fight something on the ming-a-boo Fight, some things they fight Something takes a part of me You and I were meant to be A cheap fuck for me to lay Something takes a part of me Part of me Part of me Part of me Oh

He was just scatting. It was released in the 90s and it was like the metal version of snake charming the bullet in the video to make it do what he wanted (symbolism- taking control of the pain/harm to make it harmless to the child that would have died or been seriously hurt and the security guard who never would have gotten over the accident)
