From stunningly beautiful natural acoustic tones to magically atmospheric reverb-scapes, authentic percussion sounds and simmering overdriven tones, Mike reveals how he achieves an astonishing range of modern acoustic tones through his four-pickup guitar. 3:24 - "Please remember to keep it in the fingers!" - something for every guitar student out there!
RC-500 😅...thank you for the detailed description of the board. Cheers, Lars
Mr. Dawes is a highly accomplished explainer. This was fascinating.
I am focused on getting my actual guitar playing up to snuff before I start getting into all that electronics, but it is still interesting to hear all this. And what an opportunity to open for the Moody Blues just because they were delayed in transit!
Masterclass! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this excellent walkthrough
Amazing! Thank you for this!
Really enjoyable Sunday morning watching this. Learnt so much. Thank you.
That was enjoyable 😎
What a beautiful human being, not just a wonderful guitar player
Criminally underrated guitarist.
That avalon is a fantastic starting point for a good final sound though.
14:31 everyone needs a hype man :)
Nearly as good as my guitar teacher! ❤
I thought that Mike had already done away with this pedealboard to switch to Neural DSP Quad Cortex two years ago. Does he still use the both of them?
I wish my guitar playing gets 1% as good as this 😅
Ok, now I know how to get incredible-sounding tone, but how do I get incredibly long fingers like Mike Dawes? 🤔
What's the name of the outro song ?

Wow, that’s amazing - it’s so realistic that we all thought we were there filming it and then editing it! Extraordinary
