Cant wait for the review, kingston lock? Sounds cool. Right now im testing the razer blade 15 for 30 days. But this has a very good price to performance. Definitely have my eye on it for black friday.. plus this has gsync!! My alienware spoiled me with that! Kinda makes the razer meh since no gsync . :/

Would be interesting to know what's the difference in temps after doing thermal repaste with something decent.

Does this laptop need a dedicated mic or do you just plug in headphones and the mic works? Or do you need a mic and audio splitter?

@@CETechTips i would have liked to save about $500-800 bux with a mid-tier configuration like: 240hz FHD panel and RTX 2070 Max Q; but they only had the highest spec available which was: 10th gen intel processor with 300Hz (overkill imo) FHD panel, RTX 2080 Super Max-Q (overkill, but futureproof atleast) and 512gb SSD... would have liked 1TB option, as the motherboard is flipped upside down- so its gonna be a pain in the backside to add another SSD down the road.

They all seem to be about that size for this notebook class.

Also turbo button overclocks the fan speeds even further which is necessary during gameplay

I'm looking to buy either this or the GE66 Raider. I'd like to know how good is the color accuracy in this Predator, since I'd like to edit some video. If you could do a 4K render in Premiere, that would be amazing. Other things: - Battery life (while not gaming). - Brightness outside the house. - Webcam test. and, is it a disadvantage to have separated mic and headphone jacks vs an audio combo jack? I find the combo more convenient, but...

Hello Oscar, thanks for the comment. New video is up. Battery life is about 4 hours, screen is decent outside when it is not in direct sunlight, and the web cam is okay, not the greatest but will get you by. There is no real disadvantage to the separate mic and headphone jack, just more cables. Thanks for watching!

The Type A ports are all Gen 1, there is 3 of them. There is one USB C port which is Gen 2.

@@CETechTips no ull not. I7 10750h is undervolted already and its tight in my model if u uv core and cache max is -30 with-40 its crashing not immediately but crashes happens. Oc? What to oc? Its already going cpu to 4.8 and gpu 1960 cpu go to 96 max in very heavy games and cpu 77 max auto fan + coolingboost. Lock to 3.7 max 86 C but in some games big fps lost. In black squad 3.7 is 120-180 fps not locked 230-330. I dont give a damn about 90 in cpu its run realy smooth. Throttle isnt 0,1 its limit 1 max 2 cores and go back after a while its norm to 86C. I got it form 3 moths i7 10750h 32gb ram, rtx 2070 super max q and im in love. 4 issues i noticed. First turn off microsoft updater to not download 3 party drivers like for sound realtek and dtx official update will crash ur sound i needed to reinstall whole system use only drivers from acer site. Second for best feel tun on display overdrive without it g sync dont work and responce time is massive . About intro in PS u can turn it off but in bios u can leave it and turn off only sound. Last think i dont like i cant figure out how turn off always on left usb port

@@CETechTips latest update download latest chip and voltage controler drivers from Acer site signed ( 10th gen) its HUGE diffrance in temps i dont see any drop in fps but temp is like 7-10C diffrance vs was on standard drivers hell let loose on auto fan ( rpm arent higher than before) 90C now 77-88 ( some cores was hitting even 96 before update) snowrunner same 90 almost all time now 82-86 with 3.8-4.3Ghz Kingdom come was 90 now 81

This Triton 500 or msi ge66 ??

Depends on what the wattage spec is, it could be around 90Watt to 120Watt. This does make a decent difference in FPS.

@@sandrochumburidze8456 I do prefer the Acer keyboard over the MSI. Battery life is better in the Acer. The GE66 I had was non super where this is the Super so performance is better but that is because of the slightly higher GPU. That said the temps are slightly better in the Acer.

It is not notebook level small, but I feel this is a great balance.

On the hunt for a new laptop. Got £4500 max to spend. Last laptop was GT72 2QE pro. But motherboard just fried after faulty battery. Thinking GS75 or GT76 any others that you can recommend. Or even have to sell :)

@@CETechTips FPS FPS FPS :) I don't care about a battery life in the slightest, has to be 17" screen. I loved my GT72 hence I like the GT76. But the Stealth looks really nice, just concerned about heat control I game long and hard.i feel the titan fans work hard

I am also a student and doesn't have a laptop but I am working hard to build my future so that one day I can earn and buy one myself rather than going out and and asking from others. peace.

The hp omen 17 is nicer with Better cooling. Never going with acer again after the last pos i had with the 9750h 6 core and max q rtx 2070. Waste of £2,100 that was.
