SAM OKONA Hi, I have an Accer Aspire 4520. It won't turn on, screen remains blank. When the power button is pressed the green light pops up, and the fan begins to blow for only 5 seconds then stop. The power button green light remains on, the laptop still charges, the green light blink for the battery also pops up.... please what could be the problem?

You are life saver bro !! This worked on ASPIRE 5 date : 27 Feb 2021 (solution 4 worked) wasn't able to see my laptop screen after updating the graphics drive update

For me I did what I believe is called a “soft reset”. With the laptop on I pressed and held the power button for about 15+ seconds (even when it turns off continue to hold the power button for that duration) then press the power button and hold again for at least 5 seconds. Then hopefully you’ll see the acer logo and in a few minutes it’ll start up. Edit: Once you get your laptop up and running I'd suggest getting a USB Flashdrive or an External Storage to transfer or copy important documents!

It could the power supply inside. Repair it to a technician or buy a new one. I don't recommend to a DIY for the laptop's sake.

Very helpful. Thanks. In my case the RAM connector is a bit corroded. I cleaned it with pencil eraser. problem solved

Just fixed my issue with this simple step: display on an external screen, uninstall the Intel display driver, download and install latest one from the Intel website, restart your laptop and you are good to go

@@bleepboop444 There is a problem in motherboard. Not a big problem but includes motherboard that is a big deal. So i m waiting for the company to fix it. (I have contacted a local technician who is saying its not a big deal and he will resolve it at a very low cost but you cannot trust someone to play with the motherboard beacause his one mistake will lead to the replacement of thw whole motherboard). I'll tell you in a couple of days when the company will fix my laptop.
