This video is about an abusive fundamentalist christian marriage book I read while engaged called “Love and Respect” by Emerson Eggerichs. I share ways that its harmful messages negatively impacted me as a 21-year-old and contributed to the domestic violence in my family growing up. I also discuss the book’s strict gender roles and explain why I believe everyone of all genders need both love and respect in romantic relationships. Thanks so much for watching!
