Ginger, thoroughly enjoy our Monday tutorials, as well as the Story Time Series. This evening’s tutorial was no exception. When you started with black and red (abstract expressionism) painting, my initial thought was, “that does not seem like the Queen of Color.” But, once you placed that Gold Frame around the finished painting, I was astonished at how many, “lights” and, brights” that you’d strategically placed within the painting. The painting was absolutely stunning and your talent never ceases to amaze. Absolutely gorgeous painting! Thank you for, “broadening our horizons.” The painting is so beautiful.

Glad you liked it. While this is not my color palette contrast make the biggest impact on a painting, and we had some good contrast even dynamic contrast in this nne.

I just love this abstract painting of these poppies and vase. The colors are so stunning and powerful. Thank you so much Ginger and Jon for all that you do .

@Ginger Cook & Jon, like Ginger these colors aren’t my favorite but you make them look good anyway. But wow! Thank you for taking the time out to discuss the gloss in the dioxazine purple paint, using mediums, and using multiple varnishing types on a singular painting! (I don’t think I had grasped that concept before!) You are the best! HAH🥰

This was an awesome tutorial, not my colors either but learned a lot! You asked what we would like to paint, I am not sure why but the Bayou with the reflections and old car, a shack optional, the boats you did I like them better than others in the past... not sure why, detail maybe, you have done boats and docks but the story time paintings have something extra.... Thank you, Jon, and team for all your time and hard work rain or shine!! You brighten our days, love to Cinammon

Hi Ginger love your tutorials and use them as reference pictures. They usually turn out with some differences due to me being partially sighted ha ha. My question is can I sell these paintings through word of mouth so to speak? Your Tips and Tricks really help me thank you so much for your hard work and Johns.
