😂thats my dads old Rochdale. He cut the roof off in the 80s and we went to loads of meets in it.

He needs to contact East Anglia car auctions and let the public see it I think it would make good money

Brilliant find, it’s heritage is the Ford Special era of the 50’s as mentioned to avoid purchase tax and own a sports car as ready made availability after the war was rare. Still have my 1958 Falcon special on the road after 56 years of ownership complete with its sidevalve engine. Great fun, I hope the Rochdale finds a new home rather than decaying in the garden.

The cat living in it will save it from rats nests and chewed wiring So look on him as a security guard. Cool car.

Shame the roof has been cut off. I used to be a member of the club.

I love the respect you show to the folk you meet on your videos. I have only seen one of these incredible cars (it was fitted with a Riley 1.5 litre B series engine.The car was parked along with a Morris Minor MM in a street in Hitchin in the late '90's, even gave the gentleman a handbook for his Minor

The factory they used to make them at was taken over by tvr i believe to test their engines....used to hear them firing them up to destruction as i worked nearby....great little cars n rare as fxxk

Never heard of Rochdale I was thinking it was a jaguar but really nice of the bloke to take cover off a showing and he can't work on he's own car on the drive how stupid someone will want to buy the car you can tell the bloke looked after it and enjoyed driving it and it can't work on it at he's rented house 🤬😡 good find again stu 👍

If you get the chance 5th May Steyning village high St has has its "Vintage Revival festival . Its only its second year, last year had some really rare classics I'm sure you'd like it. Also just have a drive round the village you will be surprised what's on driveways and gardens. ( a very very rare Ferrari a 1952 BMW or so I'm told, it looks older tbh)

I did census data collection several years ago. I came across an Apal that is a Belgium made '356'. It was a neat car.

I've heard of them but never seen one outside of a picture!

Very unique find. My only worry is that the strength of the body is compromised by the roof cut off. No chassis, how is the handling affected.

My dad cut the roof off in the 80s and reinforced the shell. Seems to have held up well in 40 odd years
