You sir, are one very knowledgeable, articulate and sharp individual! I certainly have enjoyed your videos. My wife and I recently bought a 2018 Motorhome with a 2017 Sprinter chassis. I've been a little spooked about all the problems I've read about regarding the emission system, particularly the DPF, NOx and DEF issues regarding this engine. After watching a few of your videos I'm not scared anymore. Now I know how to clean a DPF! :) And I'll keep pouring in the DEF! I wish I lived closer to you. I'd hire you for a job you in a heartbeat. :)

I've used your method to diagnose abs system in my Sprinter today because abs and esp light was on. I've swapped right and left abs plugs and wiring and it turned out that the wiring is good, abs sensors are good but the left wheel bearing is faulty. So once again huge thank you for your videos 😀

Great job explaining the issue. Just wish it was mine! Lol. All my sensors seem good. ABS light, ESP light on. Sometimes I get no throttle response when turning right. It only starts to respond when my steering wheel steers almost straight again. Any clue?

I have noticed that with vehicle wheel speed sensor issues that both the ABS and ESP are both affected. I am not sure if the ESP Program is integrated into the ABS Module.

Spray some WD40 into that sensor hole , clean the tone wheel, sometimes clean old sensor will sent the signal again.

My 2015 Sprinter 3500 basically had the opposite problem. Parked, three sensors showed 0 and the fourth showed 47,000 miles/hour. Scanner showed active fault on that sensor. Jumped sensor to opposite side and it now showed 0 miles/hour. Wiring on active fault side checked good. Turned steering wheel stop to stop a couple times. Scanner now shows 0 miles/hour on all wheels. Any idea what is going on? I’m sure this will be reoccurring.

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I forgot to mention. I did jumper one of good sensors to the harness on side (front left) that was showing the active fault. The live scan still showed 47,000 mile/hour and that’s why I checked the integrity of harness.

John Warner Lol! You could diagnose this same problem with a code reader that can show ABS data pids and a multimeter but it's probably gonna be a bit difficult but it's doable!

@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair If it's anything like a Mercedes, any work done by a third party mechanic is ignored by the engine computer. Sucks. I had an alternator replaced, Bosch, in a Vito, and could not clear the alarm light. MB said they could not either, but I don't believe them. I had a new speed sensor put in a month ago, $1000, and now the fault lights are back. Got it checked today, they said all three others are out, quote another $3K, for about $100 in parts and about half an hour labour. I'm feeling kinda pissed right now.
