I remember seeing this video on Yo! MTV Raps back in the summer of 1990. Since ATL was affiliated with NWA and Ruthless records, I immediately went out and bought their album "Livin' Like Hustlers." The album version is much different from this one, but not in a bad way by any means. I think it samples an old Doors song since Jim Morrison and other members are listed as writers. Great video, though. A true West Coast classic.

I remember when this album was hot at parties, on drives, during driveby shootings (I'm sure I heard it playing in the background...Doppler effect...as the AK's were firing.). Ah, the good old days of growing up in a city that was ranked in the top ten for violent crime, and maybe even all crime, especially when others wouldn't suspect it as being so. It wasn't always bad, but I've seen some shit. I recall these days. Music is like that. It can transport you back to a specific place in time.
