Abandoned Toy Collectors Mansion in Barrington Hills Illinois

Ойын-сауық

In Barrington Hills, Illinois sits a $1,500,000 Mansion full of vintage collectable toys. Most of the house was cleared out but the garage was packed full of valuables untouched!!! We found someone's lost Iphone, a pool in the backyard, and even family photos! Nothing online about the old owner or the story behind it's abandonment. My best guess is the mansion was lived in by someone who really enjoyed collecting and he has since passed away leaving everything behind.

For me, this video elucidates the transience of our lives and how the material THINGS that we spend so much of our lives chasing, are just that, THINGS. Things that are static, are left behind by time. For example, those video cassette tapes were probably desperately wanted gifts at some point. Today's generation would probably not even know what they are and if they could find a VCR to play them on, they would be horrified by the poor fidelity.

i as a Swede are blown away that there is so much Abandoned places in USA that is just left to rot. Sure you have all the space. here in Sweden this type of thing dont happen. if a building is Abandoned it´s torn down to make space for a new building. or torn down to make sure we are taking care of the environment. There is buildings and complex that is un-used but not Abandoned cuz they still have value and are not left to rot.

That's was somebody's dream house, shame no one wanted to buy it or inherit and keep it going. Signs of the times though, when that house was built America was in much better shape overall. Now I don't know anyone who could afford the property taxes for a place like that, let alone buying it and then having to spend another fortune to fix it up. Lot's of hidden gems in that place I bet.
