Kind of puts thing in perspective how a person's life passions is sold for pennies on the dollar to a bunch of people who never knew the person. One day, this will happen to all of us.

Yeah I’ve thought about after a certain point, you should really purge your collections and your belongings down to the core of what you need/enjoy so that “possessions don’t weigh you down” and to ultimately simply your life. The best part of moving is when you actually pack up all your stuff you get to reevaluate certain things and find things you forgot you had.

Man, what a stash! Folks don’t realize that people like my dad used to save every box back in the 70’s and 80’s, so it’s no surprise that this house has a box for every console he had. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

Man this took me back to the early 2000s! I used to work for a company like this cleaning out houses and got a lot of cool stuff! I alway grabbed the video game stuff. Most of the stuff went to the dump unfortunately and I always wondered what other employees threw away… I was able to convince one of the other coworkers that worked with a different crew to grab any video game stuff for me. Only worked there for a little over a year. But some of the notable things I found and still have to this day are my jungle green N64, TMNT turtles in time with manual, Shinobi III CIB, and an NES top loader w/dog one controller, and multiple other various cartridges for many systems it’s hard to remember exactly. What a fun and disgusting job….. many homes we went inside were so gross we had to toss our clothes out due to roach/flea infestations. One house had a dead dog in a tarp in the backyard and over an inch of dog poop covering the entire floor. We found out they had over 25 dogs inside the house. We had to call the police. Other homes had a meth lab, squatters inside, and one had blood and brain matter on a wall due to a suicide case. Once we had some of our equipment stolen being in the hood. But sometimes we’d be able to go in really cool homes.

I was at some illegitimate estate sale last week. There was caution tape on the door. The garage door was smashed in. I walked into the house and there is stuff just thrown everywhere, and of course smut everywhere in the living room. In one room there were flies buzzing. A phone in another room that was receiving a phone call while i was there. I asked where are the people who lived here? The person running it said they left. Thats it. No further explanation. I got out of there. It was just weird in there.
