Abandoned Lennox Castle Hospital - Scotland, UK - Urban Exploration - Haunted

!Warning! Heavy swearing half way through the video lol I wasn't sure if I would upload this because it is pretty much just a shell. I mainly wanted to just see it as I've never been and known about it for years. It's been badly fire damaged so that's why it's in such a bad state. I've tried my best to film remains of what it once looked like, which wasn't much. There's a few odd sounds captured during the video as well. Sorry for the muffled gopro sound as well, I had the wrong back door on.

Great video and I live about 6 miles away. So many patients abused sexually and raped. It's such a shame how poor innocent people were treated.

Many many moons ago I was up there on a job just before all the complex closed installing a temp fire alarm systems in some of the buildings. I had access to the steam tunnels from the boiler house to all the buildings including this one and back then the building was in a serious state. The tunnels were so spooky and neds stealing the pipes unbeknown to them they were cutting through asbestos to get the pipe .There were old xray (radioactive cases) dumped in the steam tunnels/patient files pictures etcI don't know if any of the steam tunnels still exist or not but there was one that connected the basement of the castle. Some of the wards that were there weren't cleared out and some of the poor souls that were put in there were treated so badly and they even kept the photos and there were certain things kept in jars in one ward just past the old canteen. Still makes my hairs stand up just even thinking about what must have gone on there. Great videos btw

Thankyou again Teenzie, another great explore. I'm a history buff but never knew much about Scotland because here in the states we're taught about England and it's labeled UK. Watching your explore vids, I have learned much more about the people and locations than any BBC has ever done...

Ha ha pmsl! 😂 I just stumbled across your channel and thought it was another one of these cheesy American ‘haunted’ videos! (I clicked on it anyway as I only live a couple of miles from here and was interested in the video footage!) Imagine my surprise when the first thing I hear (other than the amazing music) is a broad Scottish accent calling out your mum for farting!!! Best laugh I’ve had all week - and when I clocked the subtitles it just made me laugh even more!!!! Great video!!!

I remember the "castle" when i worked there, the craftsmanship was amazing, the woodwork was breathtaking, as you entered the front door, went up the stair into the hall the Feature Fireplace was something else.......There were was no mistreatment of any patients, I worked there for a few yeasr back in the late 70's, it was the best job I had, If it was still open today Id be back there, the "residents" patients and staff were brilliant, the ones i had the pleasure to work with, yeah things werent brilliant, as a lot of things were needed for the place but we done our best, RIP for the poor souls we lost over time, yeah you are missed even tho people dont think so thro the stupid rumors

What a place this must have been before things went so bad. Just living in such surroundings must have made life more dramatic. Lennox Castle reminds me somewhat of the Mormon Tabernacle in Salt Lake City, Utah, here in the United State. If there were some tall spires the resemblance would be even more striking. I'm going to look up photos of the Lennox Castle to see what it used to be like.

The government changed it to a maternity hospital during the War and I was born there on July 14, 1945. My mother and brothers had been evacuated from Bridgeton Glasgow and lived at Torrance castle which the government had also commandeered to house Glasgow mothers and children (so I guess I 'lived' there too...)
