She wasnt ready to pass on. Right from the start, she had so much fight left in her. DEFINITELY a keeper!
That truck will probably last another 30 years, sounds great !
Man I want some projects like you got but I don’t have a garage or knowledge I just love how you save old classics!
Classic cars are cool, but there's just something different about an old classic pickup. I don't know if it's just a different mindset or what it is, but an old classic pickup is just a different creature all together. I love them. I've got an old 66 GMC 1000 with the long-box fleetside. Also has the fuel tank behind the seat, going to change that sometime, and the old 4 speed with the reverse to the left and down. I'd like to change it to a 5 speed. It is the first year for the 4.1L 250ci inline 6 engine, and that thing has some serious low end. It will pretty much throw you back in the seat when you get on it, so I know it will handle a 5 speed. The throw-out bering is out right now too, so I'm not driving it, but am more than ready to get back to working on it.
From the graveee😭😁

Even today you can find a modern dodge that does the same
Thumbs up if you like that glass pack sound. MOPARS and glass packs. Two that go together.

Nice ! I like this pickup... Its good to know that the pickup belongs to a guy who know what he do. Good work man !
Love that truck, good call replacing everything while you had access. That clutch had seen better days and the hub rivets were loose. I used to build Hays clutches at Mr. Gasket and all the surfaces would need grinding and a new hub installed provided the disc was still good. Keep them videos coming!
It’s nice to see the younger generations taking an interest in the vehicles and technology of yesterday.
Like most vehicles sent to the junkyard, she is very used. But still running and driving. I had a 1975 Chevy step side that I drove onto the scales at the local wreckers. Floor pans and rocker panels were gone. At the time it wasn't worth repairing. Now it'd fetch 20x what I paid for it.
Awesome! Pretty soon you'll be able to open a classic car/truck dealership.
I think I found my new favorite KZread channel I'm a die-hard mopower guy I have a 79 short box Power Wagon and a 72 Duster twister I need to get some inspiration and motivation to get them both back on the road but I sure miss my 77 Ramcharger
It is my personal experience that Dodge is the easiest truck to work on. My biggest thrill was converting a 1963 two wheel drive Town Wagon to four wheel drive. six bolts took off the front clip.
Love it how ur bringing all these vehicles back from the dead instead of just rusting out at the yards great job!
That's a pretty cool old truck Dylan. Looks and sounds like you've got it running pretty well. Keep up the good work.
Great lil series on this truck! Great videos... keep em coming!
The engine sounds pretty good! And like you said, you're keeping it really on the budget. Keep up the good work buddy! In my opinion, in a future episode or whatever, I'd like to see some work on making it silent...some work on the bushings and/or the front end suspension
Love the video! I love nothing more than finding a old unwanted classic truck and bring it back to life and get it back on the road!!!
dude, I am just blown away that you can get these things started!!! i don't think I can though
Chrysler A230, decent all synchro three speed. Not sure if they used a straighter cut gear for 1st and 2nd in the trucks to improve strength, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. Considering the shape the rest of the truck is in I doubt the gears are all that worn. Sloppy shifts is typically due to the shift linkage setup, plus the linkage tends to wear out pretty quickly. Find a good Hurst shifter for it and that'll clear it up.
Me and my dad got our hands on a 73 charger with a 318 with 68,000 miles and got it back going and on the road again. This project reminds me of that. Awesome videos and keep it up!
I'm originally from a small town in Alabama, and my first (late) wife was from TN. My little town had some woods near the town dump. People brought unwanted old cars there and parked them with the keys in. Probably 10 acres of running cars, free for the taking. My uncle Lefty took me with him when someone in our family needed a car. I was a tweener, and my job was climbing down in ditches and seeing if the car was still there. If so, he drove it out and my Grandfather drove it home where it would be cleaned and serviced. Most of the old maid Aunts and Great Aunts in my family drove cars from those woods. Few people believe me when I tell them the cars we had when I was a kid in 60s and 70s.
Very cool video series! I love seeing old iron resurrected!
What a great video. I can’t wait to get my Mopar fired up again. These videos are very motivating.
I can't wait to see my niece get her. 72 Dodge D100 running. If it's anything like this one, she's going to have a lot of fun.
Wish i could find an old 70's d100, but I live in the rust belt! Gonna head south in the spring!

Yep, here in NY State they use a lot of salt on the roads during winter, our cars and trucks are eaten alive by the Rust Monster from the fender-wells on up in just 10 years if you don't rinse all that off asap.

Bought my 86 d350 in a field in narragansett rhode island behind an ice cream shop. Dragged her out of the weeds and did a decent resto, cool little chassis cab 4 speed.

"Rust belt" refers to a relatively small area of the US which has or had a prominent steel industry. It doesn't have anything to do with a climate that's conducive to rust. For example, my home state of Maine isn't in the rust belt, but vehicles here rust out as bad or worse than any other part of the country.
I appreciate the hard work. Both in locating it and getting it on the road. Nice piece of Americana. You're preserving American history without realizing it. Salute . . .
That ROCKS I love the old vehicles especially the old junkyard finds. 😎👍
Does it have a pilot bushing ? Love the look of new parts ! lol! Nice poof of smoke when you shifted , probably dry valve stem seals from sitting. Cool truck and the exhaust tone is nice.
Hey Dylan I enjoyed the video can't wait for you to make another one on the truck there
Once again nice job. Like the patina on that old truck.
Nice! Enjoyed the video! Good sounding old truck!
awesome seeing this truck run again!
That's turning out really well -- nice job!
Another great video Dylan.
Cool stuff Brother! Many Thanks!
Nice job on Rump! And it's good to hear you're going back to the Charger - this isn't a critique, because trying to decide which vehicle to work on/video next is a problem I'd like to have. I have a suggestion for Rump's wheel/tire combo: maybe a set of Cragar SS wheels wrapped w/white letter tires (Cooper Cobras or Goodyear STs come to mind).
Dylan, what are you planning to do for a living? You're becoming quite a good mechanic.
It's neat to drive an old vehicle like that. It rattles and makes noises but just something about it just hits you in that pleasure zone in your mind. A man and machine thing.
Best shifter ever in the world, made out of sticks and half a soup can. For those who don’t understand, this is a joke...
I love mopar I used to own a couple of them when I was younger love the videos keep them coming
Muy buen trabajo hermano!!!! Good Job bro!!!!! I like all ur videos😉😉😉
Excellent content! Keep up the good work!
Dylan before you put new wheels and tires on rump you should do a burnout! LoL 🤣
Sweet truck man, I really like it. Can't believe the transmission is cast iron though, I'd have to swap it out for something a little lighter if it was mine.
Rock Auto, THE place to get your parts hands down! Great old dodge you got,the 318 and the 225 slant 6 were bullet proof!
Gotta find a junkyard near me...
Great video man, u make quality content
luv the sound of those old glasspacks
Need more videos of this! I love these videos Dylan gives me inspiration for my old dodge
This is one cool truck man.
Learned to drive on my dads 78 custom 100 4X4, been Mopar ever since. My pride n joy is a two door 66 big block Newport
Iv passed by that old truck with the 43 on it probably a thousand times on my motorcycle, love those roads back that way! had no idea it was you lol
Gotta love the old Dodges, I got a 1973 Dodge D100 and the things kick ass!
Good save, It sounds so good too !
Awesome first one.......love hearing that old wine from power plant

I really love this truck man! Will you please do a cold start on her
That Blue Chevy at the beginning though, I'd love to see more then just the rear of it
You are a good worker
Go on dylan . Good works .
I enjoyed the video, well done!
that truck really sounds nice, its got a nice rumble!, just a cool old truck
That's a cool old truck, just goes to show you can have a neat truck or car on a budget, and it'll turn a few heads along the way!!
A lot of times, you can reach a flathead through the backing plate and back off the adjustment screw to help get the drums off.
keep it up i love these videos.
Killer Audiovox sound system, I see.....🎵🎶😁😎
These old manual trans are heavy ah, i had to do my 4 Speed Saginaw, had to drop it on my chest like you did lol
Man that thing needs a hopped up small block with a 4speed and some big slicks in the back lol be a awesome lil truck to have fun with
awesome video
Hey Dylan, so this truck only has 3 speeds? My dad had a 1992 Ram which had 4 speeds, but the 1st was very high, this in order to be able to move weight, but with no weight on, you would normally take off at 2nd, pretty much like you were shifting your truck in this video. Reverse was on the top right side of the shift pattern.
Good clip. i liked it.
So nice truck!
I use to have a old Manual 76 Chevy Blazer. The Transmission was somewhat noisy at well mainly in the lower gears. Most of the old manuals were.
I love it.
Where do you live that you have a seemingly endless supply of old dodges that aren’t rusted out?!
Cool old truck
Would really love to see this truck restored! Classic Dodge
15:09 OMG it's the blue Dodge truck that you pressure cleaned😀 Did you ever get it to run by the way?
In this order: + Engine mounts + Wheels & tyres + Drums swapped for discs + Bodywork repairs + Second hand Tremec 5 speed + New glass + New bed wood + New 4 barrel Holley carb and manifold to fit + New front bumper A lot of work, but worth it for that little beast
Love it but when are you going to put the original exhaust stacks back on it
Sounded good going down the road
Sounds torquey.Change the oil, watch for it to dirty because it will sitting up for a long time.Change again
The rear intake manifold gasket is a prime candidate for hidden oil leaks. Many poor intake installations are responsible for chattering and slipping clutches.
Great video but I don't want to see a commercial for classic Chevy/GMC parts during a Mopar fix. I know you can't control that though.
I can tell just by watching you back it up to go out to the road that the steering centerline is in backwards causing the steering geometry to be messed up, found that out on one of my trucks
Seems like you have worked on a lot of Chrysler. I recently bought an 1989 d150 with the 318 and have been looking for a manual transmission for it but have had no luck. Any suggestions on places to look or names of transmissions to look for? Much appreciated keep up the good work.
Yes
1:19 In fact, it sounds a little like when my body can't figure out whether or not it's a fart. But great job and nice video.
Do you sell anything you get on the road, I can't find anything in decent shape around new England.

Mike M haha I was just about to say the same thing, I’m in NY, I’m 17, and I just want a nice old V8 truck. Everything is like triple price and falling apart with rust or frame rot up here.
Instant, authentic Rat Rod. Very McCool.
You make a good videos🖒
Love that truck
Awesome i had a 76 swb slant six 3 spd same color..getting harder to find every day
