It's like when I left the Wiimote sit in the cupboard for a year, acidic disaster. Glad we don't have to deal with AAs as much any more!

Thank you for your comment. Any 1/2 AA (like this one) or full size AAs left in any computer or device can be disastrous.

Thanks for watching! I think I may be able to revive this Mac, as on closer inspection during editing it all happened in one spot, which can possibly be repaired. I can't say too much about the floppy drive though...
Damage to the logic board doesn’t look so bad honestly, it’s probably repairable if you wanted to put in the time to do it.

Thank you for your comment. During the editing process and upon closer inspection, the logic board looks repairable as only the corner with the battery holder looks 'OK'. A follow up video will show a restore of this Quadra 700.
