That A380 pilot is like: Do we have to? Yes ? No ? Yes ? land!! Maybe later !! 😕

Oh Noooo....The runways too short! LOL
@oldmech619

He was trying for a really smooth landing. He needed to just drop the nose, put the gear on the ground, the spoilers come out, you are really on the ground. No need to bleed off airspeed while in ground effect.
Happy Retirement Cpt!
Sometimes I wonder if pilots, coming in for a landing at Heathrow, secretly hope that BigJetTV isn't out there filming when they miss a touchdown. Flippin' heck!!!

I for one love big jet’s commentary 😂 “might be seeing management on mondi mornin”
Do you think the passengers on Capt Jessup's plane were aware it's a retirement salute or did they think the plane was on fire?
@AbWischBar
23 күн бұрын
I think this is often announced on departure. At least I heard captains tell that this is their last flight, usually in a jolly/emotional way.
@GlutenEruption
23 күн бұрын
Yeah, it's standard procedure to announce to passengers that it's a retirement flight and that they may get to be part of a water cannon salute after touchdown so they don't freak out. lol
it still amazes me that a380 horizontal stabilizer is larger than b737 classics wings...
Great photography, but does that guy from Big Jet TV irritate others as much as he does me?

Happy Retirement Captain Jessup. May it be a safe and joyous retirement Sir.
That retirement sendoff kind of brought me to tears and I don't know why! Happy Retirement Sir! I am captivated by air flight and planes (trains and subways and buses too!) - the photography is scary and gorgeous and wonderful all at once.
wow never seen a water cannon salute from the cockpit, it was really interesting!

This channel is super. I luv it!! Well done 3MoA, well done!!

Congratulations Capt Jessup on retirement- much respect and greetings from Ireland!
They went around early! No spoilers deployed, they set TOGA thrust, but they know the airplane will still touch down before flying again, keep low pitch so they don’t hit the rwy with the tail. Well done!
@EdOeuna
23 күн бұрын
Early? They floated for too long, so went around.
@user-microburst
23 күн бұрын
@@EdOeuna exacrly. Long landing followed by a timely go around. It is a big bird and it takes time for it to climb again. TOGA was set earlier than it seems, before touchdown. If they pulled up faster they’d have had a tailstrike
I always check the ”flexible runway extension” and ”pilot doesn’t panic when low on fuel” options when I book a flight. Absolutely worth the extra money!
Awesome! 😉👍
Super Video
Great clip from AMS LIVE 🤩
Nice video
The commentary for the A380-861 was simply hilarious … 😂
I'm no expert but I think the problem with that Fiji Airways landing was that he was coming in far too slowly. It was almost as if he was landing in slow motion!
