I’m a silent watch for 3-4 years now. I got teary eyed for the Gold plaque and even though I’m not a farmer of any sorts. I love watching the sheep grow and give birth . I’m also grateful to get to know the family more. I prayed for Jess through her Cancer and cried. Thank you for being you Sandy and giving us all you ups and downs moments. From a silent watcher ❤

As someone with multiple friends they've never met in person, some even across the globe, I strongly share this sentiment. You don't have to meet someone directly to be a friend or acquaintance. Hello Sandy, Congratulations on your You Tube Award. I am an 80 year old grandmother who stumbled on your site early in 2023 when looking for something else (I don't remember which one). I have never lived on or even near a sheep farm but for some reason I was immediately hooked. I look forward to each and every post. I held my breath when the ewes were giving birth, laughed at the lamb antics, I cried when Ruby died, I prayed and continue to pray for Jess and her continued healing. I think it is the underlying love that comes out on your programs. 2023 was a Scary Year masterfully handled by Jess all through her treatment 2023 was a get-it-done year where the cabin was built (using some milled lumber from your farm) 2023 was an wild and wooly year for 4 sets of lambings 2023 was an amazing and challenging year on the grain side Hoping that 2024 is a healthy, happy and prosperous year

I lost my only son and when she was going through that with Jess I literally KNEW how hard it was for her to keep going. She said it best, you really do move on auto pilot. Sandi, I have watched all of your videos and shorts. It the first channel i look at on you tube. What i love about your channel is its real! It not a performance or contrived story. You tell it like it is but with respect and humility. The love you show for all your animals shines so bright its like the sun. You share both good and bad, work and family. As hard as it was to watch you as a family go through Jess’s Cancer was, both heart wrenching and warming. I’m so very glad Jess is cancer free. Watching jess’s channel and her perspective of what she was going through, shows that she is a strong woman just like her mother. I envy your log cabin it looks so warm and cozy. My idea of heaven. If i ever get over to Canada again i want to make an effort to pop by and hopefully that’s ok with you, maybe feed some bottle babies. The lamb races are so fun to watch. That’s my favourite. Wow, that was emotional. I totally get your choice to open the package at this time and with the family of viewers who certainly don’t feel like strangers. You have certainly touched my life. I walked with you through the emotionally challenging year and will continue to share your chores and celebrate the successes and also the challenges. Hi Sandy! I wanted to let you know that 2023 will forever be marked as my FIRST year with sheep in part because of you! I've been using your operation as a learning tool for years. Your ability to try new things, even if you don't know what to do, and how you honestly present the work, has helped ease my mind about working with my own sheep.

Congratulations Sandi on your Gold Button it is so well deserved. I don't even know how I found your channel so many years ago, but I am so glad I did. I grew up on a small Pig farm in South East Queensland Australia as a kid and I just love watching small scale farmers producing such great quality animals with so much love and care for their welfare. I feel privileged that you, Mark, Jack and Brave Jess let us see a glimpse of your lives and Jess's cancer battle. I can't even imagine what it was like for each member of the family to go through this battle, I am sure I was not the only one who cried with you during this time, prayed for you all and rejoiced when Jess was able to ring that bell. I love watching the lambs doing their Ring Around A Rosy dance with the feeder. If I was working with those lambs, I would just be sitting in the pen letting they climb all over me and just love on them like crazy. The loss of one of the Golden Girls, Ruby was so sad, she however had the best life/retirement an animal could ask for, but I felt your pain, I had to say goodbye to my dog this past September and it was so painful. I am looking forward to all of this year video's and I hope 2024 is full of blessing and peace for your family.
