A week with my family in Ufa, Russia | Bashkortostan - the land of Bashkirs and Tatars

Bashkortostan is home to Russia's biggest ethnic minorities - Tatars and Bashkirs. The Bashkirs are a Kipchak Turkic ethnic group, indigenous to Russia and they speak Bashkir language, a close relative of the Tatar language. Once Bashkirs were nomadic and they were incorporated into the great Mongol Empire, but then they joined Russia! They traditionally practiced agriculture, cattle-rearing and bee-keeping. The nomadic Bashkirs wandered either the mountains or the steppes, herding cattle, and even now people identify strongly with their village and regard this as the main social unit.
I will show you the capital of Bashkortostan - Ufa and introduce you to the Bashkir national costumes, songs and dances. And, I will also introduce you to my Tatar family who lives in Bashkortostan!
📌elinabakunova.com/russianclub - Russian Speaking Club where you can practice the Russian language. Join us from any level ;)

No one is judging the people but rather the government. You also shouldn't be so negative to put down westerners they have done nothing wrong, never heard of them speak about these people or even know anything about this people. I myself from eastern Europe didn't know a lot of the stuff Eli shows and it is interesting. We can learn a lot about different cultures but it is also ok for those who do not accept the other cultures. People are allowed to not connected with every culture they see. Don't be cruel to others but not accepting to me is ok as well. I think accepting all cultures is a lie and what makes us forced to not have a say in things. Certain videos I have seen I do not agree with the culture at all, but the scenery is absolutely beautiful.

@@ElifromRussia We tried the feminist experiment in the USA, long before Russia & much of the world did & it has brought nothing but disaster. We now know, that our women were manipulated by the marxist control system & media, to believe that career, money, & being independent from men, would bring them true happiness. Now our women are suffering more than ever, with record alcohol & drug abuse, sleeping around, std's & a massive increase in divorce and suicide. The solution is simple but difficult to achieve in 2022. Life should be simple = AFTER MARRIAGE = men should work and earn the money for the family & women should stay at home & take care of their husband and offspring. Sex before marriage, is one of the worst ways to injure women & men. After thousands of years, this formula has worked successfully, & almost anything else will just bring (GREAT) unhappiness.

Let me say something, if one day the US are the aggressor and start to attack every country in the world and a US citizen youtuber making a video about just a daily life in some country sides in Kansas about her family, is that youtuber also a propagandist? If that so i can say that EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN youtube that exist right now are also a propagandist because all of them just filming their everyday life in US as if the US is a great and good country when in reality US army has invaded several country for decades now and destroyed Iraq, Syria, Libya and Afghanistan! Millions of people were dead, more than any dead Ukrainian now. How can you be so sure that "most of the independent Russian youtuber" are actually independent? If they were paid by someone who supported NATO doesn't matter common people or people from any government agencies in US or EU, then they are not independent because they too are working as a propagandist for NATO and western EU power. You cannot just call Eli a propagandist just because she is being patriotic to her homeland and country, if you wanna do that then you should also criticized all other youtuber that live in Europe and America who make videos about their homeland and country and just showing everything good about it when in reality everyone knows that America is a shitty country with hundreds of mass shooting every years. Bashkirs are genetically ancestors of most of Western European peoples, at least on the men's side. When Harvard dis it's DNA genealogy study(still ongoing), they established that men of Western Europe are of R1B haplotype and have common ancestors with Bashkirs in Russia, except Bashkirs have a 3000yrs older common ancestry because they have never left Russia in 4600 years but their relatives (from the same tribes by Volga river) have eventually migrated thru Caucasus, Central Asia and Middle East and 3000 yrs ago settled in North Africa until climate change forced them to migrate to Western Europe through Gibraltar bridge(back then it wasnt a strait yet), wipe out the indigenous population(mostly men, women were usually taken for wives) and become Europeans. Back 4800 years ago Russian ancestors and European ancestors were neighbor tribes in the steppe by Volga River, and they both came from same tribe originated by Lake Baikal in Siberia, where the only people with pure "R" haplotype were found, as bones of course, extinct now.

With all the (understandably) negative news and videos coming out of Russia, it's nice to see a video that stays away from politics and the negative stuff to show something positive and pleasant. It provides a little balance and perspective, as well as being educational. Scenery, culture, and just regular people. Keep up the good work, Eli. It's appreciated.
