This is how we spend holidays week with my family in Russia | Tatar festivities

Each region of Russia has its own traditions and culture, so let’s see what activities there are in Ufa city, in the region of Bashkortostan, during Christmas and New Year time.
We will also visit Bashkir-Tatar holiday Sabantuy which dates back to pagan times and originally it was a ritual that asked the gods for a plentiful harvest. Today, however, the festival became a celebration of Tatar and Bashkir culture and traditions. Furthermore, we will go to Walrus competitons... what is it? Just watch till the end of the video ;)
Time codes:
00:00 Looking for a tree (last minute)
02:00 How we meet the New Year
05:30 Going to a Tatar - Bashkir festival in Ufa
07:30 Who are the Tatars and what is Sabantuy?

Hello, I'm from Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia, it's not always cold here. In summer, the temperature rises from +20 to +35 degrees) we have a big city, you were shown only a small part. And traditional celebrations, so we have a lot of clubs, restaurants, sleeping areas and park areas, and far from the city there are Ural mountains and taiga forests, there are ski resorts, fishing and hunting grounds, bases for summer recreation on reservoirs. There are historical places, for example, shikhany- mountains that were the bottom of the ocean (walking along them you can find fossils under your feet), there is also a cave with rock paintings. A lot of things😊

I have always thought though that those outside russia are always talking about how sad it must be to live there in the political climate (that has been around for a very long time). But I have always thought that what many dont understand is that to them, that is their way of life. I have met russians who left a different times. One left in the 70s when russian borders opened and another left in the 90s after the USSR collapsed. That they still have not recovered from. Yet what both of them tell me is that when you live there, thats what you know. I even worked with a woman who moved to my country with her family from russia when her son was 5 (her youngest). They still own a house to this day in russia. They own a home in my country too. What she tells me is that locals outside russia in my country, dont always know the problems of their country to. Her new way of life is my way of life but she can see certain flaws and even areas where I agree with her that my country isn't all that great for the same reasons she thinks. It really is no different from anyone else. We know where we live and thats our way of life. You dont really know any different from what you're comfortable with and how you grew up. To really know different is traveling and moving to other places. What I do like about her videos though is that you see it. It puts the thought to a visual. Seeing how they are living there and what is their normal.

Yes, it is one of the greatest and most honorable people in the world. They won World War II by decimating 90% of the German war machine. They occupied Berlin and all of Eastern Germany. The Russians lost an entire generation of young men - over two million soldiers were killed, and many others were wounded, taken as prisoners of war (many were never seen or heard from again), and millions of civilians were raped, killed, and/or sent to labor or extermination camps. The Russians sacrificed more than any other country in that war. In fact, more Russian lives were sacrificed than all the other warring countries combined (excluding Germany). I love Russia and the Russian people. Anyone who tries to fear monger against Russia is foolish and ignorant. The fact that Russia has a record as being undefeated in war should really get the (very foolish) United States and the ridiculous NATO hordes to back off, but the stupidity, narcissism, and greed of the Western leaders should never be underestimated. They want to start a war with Putin and Russia, but they have no idea how prepared Russia is to decimate every last western "man". The men from the United States, UK, Canada, France or Germany are all feminized soy boys in comparison to the courageous and masculine Russian MEN. Real men. Not ones who parade in rainbow colors half naked like clowns or the deluded trans people. God bless Russia 🇷🇺 🙏

Zеlеnsky received 73% of the votes of the people of Ukrаinе in the presidential election because he promised to stop the war in the Donbas.(he promised a lot of course other than that) Many journalists have been killed in Ukrаinе, and all media, except government, are banned? Not one killer, not imprisoned. The one of the first laws that was adopted by those who came as a result of the bloody соup before the "annexation" of Crimеа and the wаr in the Dоnbаs, on Februаry 23, 2014, was a law that abolished the Russiаn language in Ukrаinе, the native language for residents of Crimеа, Dоnbаss and other cities. The Ukrаiniаn regime аmnеstied itself after a bloody military coup, the UN recommended that Ukrаinе repeal this law. Because it interferes with the investigation of crimes on the Маidаn. Who was the sniper who killed people on the Маidаn? In September 2014, a bill on amnesty for war crimes committed during a military operation in the east of the country was submitted to the Rаdа of Ukrаinе. so the military pilot who bombed the children's beach in Zugrеs on August 13, where there were only children, will not be convicted of crimes. For 8 years of "friendship" between Ukrаinе and the US, Ukrаinе is the poorest and most corrupt country in Eurоpе in 2021. With military laboratories and NATO military bases. IMF loans. And nazis national "hero". In 1994, residents of Crimеа went to rallies demanding that the government deal with the Nazis who threaten them. In 2006, residents of Crimеа went to a rally and did not allow NАTO and Ukrаiniаn military exercises in Crimеа. Anyone who dares to doubt that Ukrаinе is a "victim", and NATO just "passed by", and has nothing to do with the war, is "Russiаn propаgаnda" The end.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Such amazing Holiday beauty and fun. I have learned so very much from you about Russia. In your archery your hands looked so cold and red, but like everything you do, you recover very well. I would loved to experience what you presented to us but not possible. Keep things going Eli. You keep our minds fresh with laughter and experience. ❤️

She is really tough, when she climbed the highest mountain in Russia, some people in the group gave up and climbed back down, not her. She also partook in a military training sleeping in the forest without tent, not in the summer. She is tougher mentally and physically than most men, i think.

Wonderful, and brought back flashes of New year and Christmas to me from when I was in Russia. The ice of ice swimming appeals to me because the colder the water, the denser it is and hence when you pull on it, you move further and faster. As an ex competition swimmer, I can only imagine how that would feel to me. Spasiba Eli.. As always, your video of our family and of Russian culture enchants. Thank you for sharing.
