minecraft storymode doesnt have to be good to be good, thats the best way i can describe it

The quicktime event that the runner failed before entering the nether is not a real quicktime event, it’s actually a fake out to shock the player. You can’t respond to it quick enough to stop it, and it isn’t even clickable to begin with. It’s just a cool moment intended to surprise you.

I really wish this series would come back for season 2. In my opinions season 2 had a legitimately good, cohesive story with characters that actually felt real.

Ok that’s actually a cool idea with what your doing as far as this series will go to!!!! So basically your going to do a breakdown of the whole game but breaking them up to one Ep at a time, going over the positive and negatives, I can dig this new breakdown or analysis of Minecraft Story Mode!!!! You did bring up some good points in the first Ep like how the Witherstorm design is old but a new terrifying threat, how Ivor will go from a villain to one of the best characters in the game later on the road, and more!!!

But to my surprise I absolutely love this game, saw many famous KZreadrs play this game, that kinda got me to play this game, I think it’s a fun game, and quite honestly Telltale most underrated game!!! Yes I’m 24, but I still love this game!! The music is so good like the main menu music!!! You actually got big actors in this game with Patton Oswalt as Male Jesse and Catherine Taber as Female Jesse, Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman as Ivor, Ashley Johnson as Petra, and many more!!!! I love the 2 different story arcs, The Wither Storm and The Portals!!!! Jesse, Petra, Ivor, and Lukas are quite literally the Main PVP of this franchise!!!!!

Minecraft Story Mode is actually my all-time favorite game because I found comfort in the characters when I was going through a hard period. Now this games isn’t perfect, Ep 2 Assembly Required is a very short Ep but that is because it was released 2 weeks after the first ep 1 was out at the time, which really felt like a weakness!! Some of the choices in this game doesn’t really affect the story, but some do! I really wish they had more time with Axel and Olivia because after Ep 5, they leave and we don’t see them again until Ep 8, and on that note Season 2 sidelined them again for seeing them for the beginning of Season 2 Ep 1 and again until the Ep 5!!!

If there’s an animated creature and it’s actually got a voice actor contributing it’s noises instead of a sound bank, you can bet your ass that the VA is Dee Bradley Baker. That dude does EVERYTHING, we’re gonna be fucked as an industry when and if he dies.

I REALLY love Story Mode, I got Season 1 via The Compete Adventure on the Wii U and Season 2 on the Switch!

I always have a soft spot for story mode lol, I was one of the people who had no clue how Minecraft worked before playing SM It has its faults sure but it has a of heart, that stays consistent throughout the whole game

After Telltale Closed in 2018 I think it is, I kinda got lucky with finding Minecraft Story Mode Season 1 at my Goodwill and getting the second season at the Exchange!!!! I honestly cant believe this game is well now going to be 8 years old, I remember seeing trailers of it, and just like you at first I thought really Telltale who did The Walking Dead game, Tales of the Borderland, and more was going to do a story in Minecraft I honestly thought it won’t work and it would be terrible

Minecraft Story Mode is a masterpiece and you know it!!!

There's something I noticed about Petra that I haven't ever really seen anyone else talk about. It's about her design specifically. Petra is the only female character in the game to have a male mouth. All of the female characters in every episode (including all the female Jesse's, Olivia, Ellegaard, Cassie Rose, and even Em from episode 8) have a specific shape to their mouth. It consists of two lines, the top one a single pixel wider than the bottom one on each end. The actual width varies (more feminine characters like LDShadowlady and Ellegaard tend to have narrower mouths while characters like Olivia and Cassie's mouths are wider. This is not a set rule though, Em's mouth is narrow), but they all have this specific feature. Except for Petra. Out of all the female characters, she's the only one to have a mouth that matches the guys' (a single line across). It was probably just a design oversight (it's kinda hard for me to believe it was just a 'oh she's just a tomboy' design choice, because none of the other tomboys have the male mouth), but this, along with a couple other factors (mainly her height (she's the tallest member of the new Order of the Stone aside from Axel), to an extent her voice, and mostly just vibes), is one of the biggest reasons why I personally headcanon Petra as transfem :)

This is a good video, and I think releasing it as you complete it is a good idea. I still think it would be great if you had your video essays on a separate channel from your let's plays, and releasing the video essays in chunks might allow you to do that.

4:50 well this aged like milk (also the Netflix version only had the first five episodes of season one which…why? Episode five is the beginning of a new story arc and ends on a cliffhanger, literally the worst place you could end the story. It would’ve been better to only have the first four episodes available if they couldn’t get the whole season)

Cool video! I like what you've got going on here - your analysis was very intriguing. I was in this fandom back in its heyday, and recently watching Kwite's playthrough got it back on my radar. Heh, Radar. Regarding 34:52 - It actually isn't possible to get that quick time event, no matter what you do. I think there's another fake QTE in this game, but I don't remember where. I'll be tuning in for more in this series! Don't forget to do Season 2. It's a huge improvement over S1.

Only the people who make these video essays say it was bad and make people think that others think that it’s bad.

@@UnidentifiedFlyingSquirrel Yeah it was mad incredible. I've seen some comments that explain how the game has many plot holes and the story was predictable. But for a 7-9 hour gameplay (season 1)? I don't think it's very predictable. The characters are all lovable as well.

Huh??? I just finished the video and noticed it only has 310 views. At first i thought "Oh nice 310k glad this video blew up" before dubble cheking and realising no, 310. Which is still respectable but like? with the quality of the video and commentary along with the theme im honestly shocked this hasnt blown up yet!! First video i've seen of your content! You have the same feelings i do about this game! As a kid i loved it, and i thought the world was lowkey kinda compelling. And now im an adult and have seen more well written things, i will say if this game was rewritten, it could actually be pretty good imo. I have actually had the idea of rewriting it before. In my opinion the fact it was minecraft kind of stunted the story, but i do enjoy the references to crafting and minecraft items tho

You mentioned the bow vs fishing rod bit and called it an easter egg, but you wanna know what is an actual easter egg? You can make a lever with the materials Petra gives you to make a sword. Funnily enough (at least on the ps4 version) it actually gives you an achievement for it xD

I’m confused people actually HATE this game? I remember one time in ran into this smuck on Instagram who was trying to defend the super Mario movie for its lousy story and I brought up Minecraft story mode to explain why the Mario movie had no excuses for its bad story execution and that user began to question why I was defending mcsm!

the enderdragon is just a lone dragon trying to stay alive and reproduce, she is just in the way of getting out of the end and that is why we say she is a boss but in reality she's not
