A very productive whole house clean using the “spin the wheel” method

In this video we have a whole load of cleaning motivation, and we have a good old chat about parenting, neurodivergence and the little things our partners can do around the house that wind us up. I really hope you enjoy!

I am autistic and adhd, attachment parent, bedshared, breastfed for 5 years straight as my youngest two fed until they naturally weaned and I have spent most of that time touched out and overwhelmed by my home. Thank you for making me feel seen. I had so many comments about how I should ‘parent differently if it’s that much of a problem’ and people just don’t understand.

I had no idea that I was neurodivergent until my son was diagnosed and then I began to see things in myself and other family members!! Nothing is more annoying & especially "See through"then, the "put down's & "nastiness"(in Their replies)... Clearly, these are people who don't have what it takes to succeed themselves. So it comes easy to them, to treat Everyone with such Disrespect & Ignorance. Wouldn't you just love to see how They operate Their home & cleanliness?!(just showing up at Their door)!? From the beginning of Their reply. They expose how important it is for Anyone/Everyone, Must stay Clear from. There is Nothing about Them, that you would benefit with Them Any part of your lives. They live Their lives, to destroy Yours. They will Never tell you,"Your doing Great"!.."I wish I had Your Talents"! The Only Opinion that should matter?..Are the Many who Follow You!(because We Already Know,"You Are a Star at what You do")!..The Numbers Don't lie! Do Not give away Your Power. "These Empty people don't have what is needed, "to be a necessary importance to Any Other". Sadly Someone lied to them that,"Your a good Person"?! Don't feel Sorry for Them. They are well aware, of the Evil inside of themselves. That's what brings Joy to Them.. Winning at You loosing. Now that They've been shown, Who They Really Are?..You can go right ahead, and continue to Be You!💕

I totally understand the issue with people putting things on tables or chairs. I don't know if you've heard of this, but for me it's been so transformational. It's called the "Flat Surface Rule." People implement it differently, some do timers where they clear their flat surfaces, some don't put things on their surfaces and implement that as a family. What we do is, I have certain surfaces designated for us to put things on, and then the other surfaces are off limits. That way, I am less stressed and more capable of clearing the others. LOL it sounds weird but it does help.

Hi Remi. Grannie Cyndy from South Australia here. Have sent a few comments previously and have already been watching your content. I love who you are, how you think and your attitude to life, housework and parenting...and how you see your role in videos. You are so real and honest in all aspects. Congratulations to you!! I'm almost 72 yrs old and a mum to 6 sons and grannie to 9 grandkids. My house has always been a disaster. I was so ashamed that I was terrified of anyone coming inside my house. It was always full of my boys' friends because I wasn't afraid of them judging me. But I wouldn't let adult friends or even family in. I was so ashamed. And then it became an assumed thing. No one came to my house. We met at a cafe or their place. Now, after retiring from work it's finally getting steadily closer to how I want to be seen...but no one comes here. It's like...I've robbed them of memories of Grannie's house and all her little quirky elements. They've only got to know part of me and thankfully they love me. But I wish I had been as brave and honest as you are, warts and all. Remi, you are truly inspirational!! Love you heaps.

Hi Remi! I'm not sure if you'll get around to seeing this, and it might have been suggested already! Like many others, I *love* listening to you talk while I clean as well. In this video you mentioned it can take a while to get videos out due to the editing process, which is totally understandable! Have you ever thought of doing podcasts in between videos? Just use a static picture of something and then talk about whatever for 20 minutes. I know that I would love to just listen to you talk in the background while I'm doing other tasks- about anything and everything! I'm sure that many others would feel the same! Of course, keep doing the videos as well, but it might be something you could do in between :) Keep up the amazing work!!! ♡Amber

Yes, yes we do want to hear about the little things! Having you as the friend in my headphones, taking a moment to go "Oh my gosh, this drives me nuts" really plays into that. But then your awareness of yourself and how the two of you impact each other and your own flaws really speaks into how thoughtful you are! Keep it up

I really love your thoughts on parenting in this video. I'm a single parent of a very opinionated and boisterous only child and the mum guilt and overstimulation issues are very close to my heart too. Your narrations are so theraputic for me. Thank you ❤

Don't ever find the need to stop yourself talking again we all want to hear about Charlie leaving black bags at the top of the stairs and all the other little things. I love your videos, your laid back chit-chat is soo refreshing too. You actually have a real life and it really does make me feel less alone and less like I'm doing everything wrong (probably also helps that we have a few things in common, I'm short too and you never see a short gal making it on social *high five you* I'm from the UK with 2 young kids, renting, which actually makes a big difference when dealing with your house, cleaning rug videos = heaven!!!).

You are in the busiest time of your life with small children, a job outside of the home and taking care of the house! Give yourself some grace! If you can manage it, give yourself a day of rest where you only spend time with the family and do your hobbies. The house will always need cleaning and it doesn't really matter how often you do it. Enjoy your time with your family. Blessings for you and your family.

My husband laughs when he catches me in the kitchen. You see I play a game with myself like how much can I get done before the coffee/tea pot is done. Laundry started, lunches packed, shelf in the fridge straightened out etc. He's threatened to get me a quicker coffee pot 😂

Hi Remi❤. I never, ever watch videos to the end. I'm typically bored by 10 minutes in. But you, you have broken me of that habit! I watched until the end and was disappointed it was over! When you said that cleaning a mess is much more satisfying than just wiping up, I felt that. My problem is I wait too long and the mess becomes a bit overwhelming and I put off starting. This old dog (61) is learning new tricks from you and I'm so appreciative. I feel like I have a new friend in you! I'll look forward to your new video, in the meantime I'll check out your older stuff. Take care ❤️❤️

I just got to the part where you were describing your second thoughts on who would want to listen to you ramble. I usually don't comment because I'm usually listening to your videos for motivation. I just had to let you know that I feel like your channel has saved me. I'm late diagnosed adhd and pretty sure I'm autistic. I've struggled all my life in all areas of my life. This past year, my life has blown up. I'm drowning some days. Your videos, your voice and life struggles and achievements, have saved me. I'm not spiraling to the point of hospitalization (has happened in the past) partly because I have you to help me through my days. Thank you! ❤

I love your videos. I struggled a lot with an overwhelmingly messy house when my kids were small. I think videos like yours would have helped me feel less alone. They are teenagers now, so it doesn’t get as messy here just because they don’t have as many toys with a lot of parts and they are out of the house a lot. But I just wanted to share one thing that helped me a LOT was to start decluttering as I cleaned. That way it wasn’t two separate and overwhelming tasks. I tried to focus on just one thing at a time. For example, instead of picking up all the toy food and putting it away, still put half of it away, and at the same time put half in a bag to donate or throw away. That way you only have to touch it once, the kids still have all the same toys they are used to, you aren’t taking away their ability to have access to toy food, but you only have half as much left in the house to create a mess. So, over time the messes become much smaller since there just isn’t as much volume. And honestly, my kids never even noticed that a few things were missing, they were just happy to be able to see all their stuff and have a clear place to play.

I can see how your channel has got so big and popular. Your content speaks to the millions of real woman out there who have the same struggles and need the hope and motivation of seeing a real woman tackle a real lived in home. Who wants to watch someone with not a hair out of place clean and already sparkling home? What’s the point?! I watched all your videos now I think. I love watching them the first time to see them properly and then I go off and tackle my space and have you in the background so I can listen to you while I clean. It’s funny I need something in on the background but if I put on a film or a show I end up sat watching even if I’ve seen it before. And if I put on music I end up dancing and singing in to my hairbrush. 😂 But for some reason listening to you is just perfect. My 3 year old was pottering around in the background when I watched this one and she got ever so excited when you mentioned lego land. 🤣 We’ve been this summer too and she would like to know did you love it and did the boys have fun? ❤
