Remi, you are truly amazing! Your understanding of people, compassion, energy, hard work and inspiration is so appreciated and recognized by so many. You are so kind to help your auntie and I just know that she truly does appreciate your help. I has hyperemmis with my pregnancies too, in the hospital for almost six months of the nine months and it was horrible ! Love your insight and humor❤❤❤. Debby, NY

❤😂You’ve touched me so deeply. You are so sweet and understanding. I watched from start to finish. You were telling my story even down to losing my teeth later in life as a result of the sickness when I was expecting both my daughters. I’m 70 and am crippled by arthritis pain. I have no one to help me fix my house or clean and organize. My 38 year old unemployed daughter lives here but blames me for the mess and expects me to clean it. I get so depressed that I can’t move. I’m going to watch all your videos for inspiration and comfort. I’m having a good cry because of you kindness. God bless you and yours with love, good health the fulfillment of all your needs and dreams. Take care.

Sending so much love your way and I’m hoping things take an upwards turn for you!

I have trouble reading the fine print. It’s Janet I guess . I understand how you feel , but your daughter seems to not be very patient or understanding . Do you’think you could do things 1’bag to throw every day or maybe 1 bag in 2 days ? When I feel down I try half a bag per day and when i go dump it I feel really good about myself so the next day I want to feel good too so I am encouraged to grab a bag and do a little . 😊 A French 76 year- old

Janet please make a doctor's appointment right away, today, and ask them for help! They can get you on arthritis pain medication and an antidepressant. Explain to them about your house and your daughter, and that she is refusing to help while living rent free in your house, and ask for a social worker to come out and help you. Also ask your other daughter for help kicking her out; she needs to get her own place, she is a grown woman!

Grannie Cyndy from South Australia here again after my little accident. I'm 72yrs old and have battled house tidying for my whole life. Nut it's never too late! Within the last 12 months or so, I have stopped visiting op shops and have been finally organising my storage spaces, getting rid of clutter and generally tidying up. I am realising that 6 is handy, but more than that is hoarding, something that happened to me over the last twenty years. Finally, with discipline, the order is coming, firstly inside the cupboards which gives me space to store what I choose to keep from what was becoming major clutter. I am so grateful to you for being one of my favourite inspirations. Thankyou Remi.

@@suzannekershaw9435 Hi Suzanne. Yes, I know how overwhelming it can be. I don't function like Remi. Almost opposite in fact. I focus on small spaces but most importantly, I am trying to maintain them afterwards. I always used to reclutter spaces very quickly as I moved on to the next project. Now I maintain what I've already done, refusing to let it slip back. Then try to add a new little tidy space as often as I can. Don't give up. Keep up the good work. I 'm in the Adelaide hills, by the way. 😁👍

You are amazing, Remi. When I was your age, there would be no way I could do this much cleaning. 😢. I wish I had. When our beginner home became too small for our family of 5, my way of having more room, was to move to a 2600 sf home and 3 car garage 😮. As the children grew up and out, I was forced, and happily so, to get rid of a lot stuff because we moved. Since then, we moved 2 more times, each home smaller than the last. 😮.. Then KZread brought me people like you, and minimalist videos. I am no longer overwhelmed and stressed.!❤ Even tho our home is now 1200 sf., with no garage 😮 I call it my tiny home, I absolutely love ❤❤ it!! I’m sorry for such a lengthy post, but you inspire me and for all those who are still young, they can learn from you! Thank you 🙏, Remi! And I thank God for you!

You did not cause any downer response whatsoever. In fact, I admire that you are able to be so helpful to other family members and are willing to do what you can to help them get better organized. I used to have a bad habit of leaving dishes in my sink, after the after supper snacks we often had, whether it be ice cream bowls and spoons etc. other dishes and utensils. I hated facing it in the morning and made a promise to myself that I would stop doing this and no matter what, I would do up the dishes from the night before. (these were not supper dishes - these always got done and put away) It was the beginning of a new year, so not a resolution, as much as a determination to change and I have done quite well for many years now. I might leave a spoon from getting cat food for our 4 felines, but everything else is washed and put away. Despite doing lots of decluttering, I still have places that are harder for me to face. No matter how successful one is, there can still be maintenance issues that are hard to deal with and get left until they become a much bigger issue. Your kindness must be very much appreciated. Your energy is something I wish I could bottle up for my own use. My chores get done slower and with lots of breaks, than when I was younger. It is what it is.

Thing is, whether it's grief, trauma or brain glitch, we all have ways of mis-dealing with it. Discovered your channel today and can't stop watching. You are a very wise young woman and an inspiration! I agree that we, as a human race, should be less judgmental and more forgiving towards people who have problems that we don't have. One can not judge people if you have not been them, or gone through what they have.

❤ I love your videos. I find it really hard to clean and tidy my own home, but I don't have same problem when helping others. My Mum and brother care for my Dad who has MS, and they were completely alone during the pandemic as they live in a different country so we couldn't help. Last summer, me and my partner visited just before my Mum went on a sun holiday. While she was away my partner deep cleaned most of the windows in the house and I cleaned and organised my Mum's room and ensuite. It was really bad as she is dealing with stress and depression. Before I started my brother called her room "a dump" and I could see how helpless he felt. I have chronic fatigue, but I was determined that our mother would not sleep one more night in a room like that. After I cleaned and tidied he called my work "amazing". ❤😊 We had to leave soon after, but my bro made a video reaction of Mum walking into her room. She was gobsmacked. Completely delighted with the work we had done. ❤❤❤

Hi Remi. I love your videos. Keep trying to not let the negative comments get to you. You are such a hard worker and a great companion to Charlie and mother to your kids. You are a very busy mother who works outside the home and it’s hard doing everything but you’re doing great. You remind me so much of my daughter who’s 25 and married and had 2 young kids and works full time and just trying to do her best. Everybody deserves grace. You keep doing you and being amazing! I love the chatty videos, and don’t change you. You are not lazy and you are beautiful. ❤

Get up the courage to go to the dentist and if you can take your eldest so he doesn’t have a fear of dentists (like I did when I was a child). Hopefully it won’t be as bad as you think. Wonderful work again! You are so inspiring with what you do. Your aunty is doing a good thing, moving her mum in. BUT it's a very hard thing to do. I've done it, but we had the space and she had the money, to convert, extend and repair a small very old stone barn in our garden so that she has her own kitchen, sitting room, bedroom and shower room, + an attic cupboard and boiler room all to herself with her own front door. And I STILL find it really quite hard. The amount of attention she needs, the fact I never feel I can just go and be in my garden without going in to see her first, the help she needs and her inability to keep her brand new home tidy even with a fortnightly cleaner, drives me a bit bonkers. I was facing the choice of selling her house and putting her into a home or doing what we did. It was the obvious thing to do, to keep her independence etc. But it is hard. And it will be much harder for your aunty with her living in the same house. Loosing rooms to accommodate her. Coping with the volume of stuff she will deem essential to bring with her. My hat is off to her for trying. But your aunty is going to need help to keep her own sanity. And that's not easy to find. Good luck to all involved. Never be afraid to ask for help.

What an enlightening video Remi. You mentioned something about “Anthropomorphic “. I have never heard that word before. But oh my gracious. Seeing human qualities in an object. I have experienced that. I do remember times as a young child and as a young adult where it was near to impossible to get rid of something. And the sentimental value. I am nearing 73 and just in this past year, I have started getting rid of things that belonged to my mother. I never even came close to hoarding. But, with decluttering, I came to the realization that my memories of my mom, are enough for me. Thanks Remi. You might want to think about developing your own podcast.

I'm new to watching cleaning and organizing videos, and this is the first channel I found in the genre. I subscribed right away, I'm not sure if I have commented yet, but today I can't wait any longer: Remi, I think you are very understanding, compassionate, and heart-warming. I have to admit I was none of those things while helping my mother clear her hoard after her husband died, but I would like to think I am a different person now. I still have a lot of work to do to be as good a person as you are, but I feel like with hard work and therapy I might be as awesome as you. This comment got really strange and personal, but all of that is just to say thank you for what you do, and I understand how difficult it can be.
