It's amazing how it parallels The Deep in evolution, both were seen as the weaker members and jokes of the team both got kicked out and then reinserted into the Seven but while A-Train is going on a more positive redemption path, The Deep is getting much darker and more violent.

Worst storyline was Frenchie’s imo. Cut Colin and put more time into any other arc and it would have been miles better. I thought Colin was going to have importance down the line but so far it just seems like he ran off for Frenchie to face his past yet again. Ep 7 he finally became like earlier Frenchie.

@@diaperfang5293 It's not as good as Zuko's, no one's is. But it's up there for sure. It was so slow, and took so much internal struggle from the character. Which is what makes it so much more satisfying, most redemption arcs don't achieve this, so I would put it in top 5 for movies & tv

It may be too late for him but it doesn’t mean he can’t make it better for someone else. A-Train’s come along way. He has a redemption arc I wish Tony Soprano had.

Gotta say the final season of Sopranos was pretty weak compared to the rest of the show, but I think a redemption would have weaken the overall meaning of the show, and the evolution of Tony soprano. If the session with doctor melfi, it’s because we can see how much of a psychopath and a liar he is, while being unaware of the internal pulsions and tensions which makes him the way he is

well no, not really. most of the characters in this show may be selfish and not the best kind of people, but there are some good ones and I feel like, out of the ones in the Seven rn, A-Train makes the most sense to have this story line.

A-Train found dignity and self-respect. He's made peace with himself since he KNOWS this will be his end...but he'll face it like a hero. MM's speech is so sad, since you can see the fight is killing him by inches.

The one clear distinction A-Train seems to have apart from his other 'Se7en' members (other than Maeve) was that he had a family (his brother) that he cared about. He cared about being a hero so much, Vought seduced him with the idea of it. A-Train becomes easily lost and corrupted in the corporate, and violent, atmosphere of it all until he saw it hurt those he cared about. The other 'Supes' have no such lifeline so they easily follow violence and addiction. Now that he breaks this bubble to be the hero he has found he wants to be, he sees Vought for the tyrannical monster for what it is. He knows sacrifice in a way MM understands, so it's a fitting scene for him to talk MM out of leaving it all when they both know fleeing will only help Vought be more powerful.

"This fight, that we're in... it never fuckin' ends" Maybe it could have if your leader didn't cuck out on killing both the most powerful supe in the world AND the head of Vought because "Moi wife's son innit bruv?!?"

A-train is high on heroi sm. He _likes_ not being a monster. And he wants to keep doing heroic things. "There ain't no greater feelin' than the healin' of yer soul." - Scatman John, after getting sober and but before dying of cancer.

A-Train having probably one the most real redemption arcs I've ever seen

i love how in the first few episodes MM gives A Train a pep talk to help guide him in the right direction and here A-Train helps MM realize how much of a positive difference he’s made on others around him.

A Train is now an actual hero

The thought of Belize of all places, being stormed by Vought is hilarious.

This was A-Trains season to shine. The best redemption arc in the show, seeing he was the first supe we saw as messed up.

The motionless puppet A-Train in the intro made me think this was the episode where he was going to bite it. That's a death flag if I ever saw one and it's looming over him.

Really is great to see how far A-Train has come as a character.

This side legit brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful performances from both of them

This is just my personal opinion but A-Train redemption arc is almost as good as Zuko. Its so satisfying!

I don't care what anyone says about this season. Love it or hate it, A-Trains redemption arc has been handled so, so well, and this scene is incredible. Also, I like how he tried to use his genuine emotions to convince MM first, and only brought up the reality that Homelander can and will branch out across the globe as a last resort.

1:07 I shouldnt say this but I cried at this scene. I understand hating myself anymore than A-Train ever did and doing something that mattered little to others actually made me happy is what really saved my life. This show has some beautiful scenes despite all the graphic violence and nudity it shows

Powerful. Beautiful. Well written and expertly executed. This is my favorite scene in the whole series, followed by Giancarlo’s interactions with Homelander.

I like how the series showed us, that this whole time in the show, ATrain knew the hypocrisy and corruption on Vaught including himself, you can understand it when he says “the first time I did not hate myself” EXCELLENT SCRIPTWRITING!!!!

Is A-Train a bastard? Of course. He's done utterly reprehensible stuff. But actions speak louder than words, and boy have his actions this season proved beyond a doubt he's trying to be better.

Give me two seasons of an A-Train show - start, middle, and end.

Sometimes it takes one act of True Heroism to show you what being a real hero is all about. Whatever happens to A-train at the end of this season he'll at least know that for once he was a hero.

Simple, because he didn't want to, and there was no reason to.

All he has is family and that’s why mm dosnt have a choice. Like a train said. Theirs no running. You know it’s bad when a speedster tells you that theirs no running. After all that’s all they do.

I personally dont think they'll kill him off, at least not this season, in the next one its rumored they'll have Mr Marathon as his replacement on the seven, we could have a speedster fight

if he really wants to save his family, he hast to stay with the boys until this mission is over and then they can all go their separate ways because the mission is not over until the bad guy they spent years going after is gone and then he can go home the only way to guarant that his family has a future is by stopping Homelander

I think we are gonna get Three Major Supe Redemption Arcs. Maeve was the first one, A-Train is the a second, I believe Solider Boy in Season 5 will be the Third One. I think Soldier Boy is gonna save MM’s Wife & Daughter from Homelander in Season 5. That will be his ultimate redemption moment.
