I'm pretty sure the developers of Sea of Thieves used this ship to model their galleon

My Mum took me and a couple of mates to see the Golden Hind for my birthday when I was a kid, and to be honest, I thought it was cr*p. Now I'm an adult I'd really love to see her again, I'm that guy who holds up the tour group because I stop to read every word on every placard, lol 🙂

The Golden Hind built by Bülent Sayar was more realistic. It was the best replica.

Then in 1591 "The Great Pirate" was wounded while attacking San Juan, Puerto Rico and died 2 weeks later at sea. English lied again and said he died from a "normal tropical disease".. Yes, Cannon Fire from Tropical San Juan, Puerto Rico, LOL.. Admiral Hawkins died on that battle too and was buried at sea in front of San Juan.. That one they didnt deny at least.

@@mayorgeneralramirez1997 small is better. When Spanish used huge galleon's in the battle of the armada, it played a downfall due to the slow movement, and after being drifted north from bad weather many Spanish ships sunk due to more shallow waters where the galleon's were too big

  • @mayorgeneralramirez1997

@@joshATK A warship needs to be big if it's planned to use it in a full-fledged sea battle. A war galleon could have two decks of guns adding up to 50/60 cannons. It is true that the shallow waters and size of the keels made them fall, but my point still stands that that small galleon of 8 cannons is a lightweight compared to any other spice freighter. It's best asset is speed, not it's ordinance. Sir Francis Drake used it in discovery missions, scouting for the English Armada and for piracy, quite fitting for the purpose. As a freighter? A bit too small to be as profitable as any average Dutch ship. As a warship combating in high seas? You wouldn't see it facing an enemy flagship.
