A massive influx of black economic migrants from the other ANC ruled provinces plus other African countries in search of a better life & opportunities has exasperated the ratepayers, city council of this DA led province. They have colonized every tiny little rural dorpie with their tin shacks overstretching the abilities of the city & the smaller towns who are already struggling to redress the economic, housing & social services of the local non black African population who have historically & politically been left on the back burner as it were. In this process they the migrants as a group have sabotaged the cities infrastructure at every turn, destroying our services such as transport in able to create economic opportunities for themselves, overloaded our roads with thousands of minibus taxis, Africa's answer for transport & created road chaos for commuters. As in every squatter community worldwide scant attention is paid to hygiene, littering around their areas. This attitude is carried through to our urban centers. Good luck to the Da government Fortitude rests on their shoulders.

We can say go to other rural areas in South africa during apartheid the rural areas where neglected thirty years later a lot of them have now received the basic infrastructure of toilets and clean running water. We that lived and grew up in the cities never understood the deprivation they lived in. When it comes to Cape Town I stayed in Blouberg our roads where constantly being done every year whereas my colleague who lived and grew up in Mitchells plain during apartheid and now in democracy to him the DA still does nothing for them and concentrate on predominantly “white” areas. So yes it is a tale of two cities and the DA only chose to concentrate on certain communities and ignore those that are in real need of service delivery

Do you know that the young Mayor of Cape Town, Giordin Hill Lewis, is spending a WHOPPING 74% of the City of Cape Town's Budget this year on uplifting and building new infrastructure in previously disadvantaged areas of the City of Cape Town like Kayelitsha, Philippi, Langa etc?? This is a first for SA!!

Cape Town is considered to have been historically and remains one of the most segregated cities in South Africa dating back to colonial times and apartheid. Fast forward to 2024, 30 years into what is supposed to be democracy and still almost nothing has changed. Despite efforts since 1994, socioeconomic disparities persist and people mostly affected by social ills continue to vote DA into power since they unseated the ANC in 2009. The minority of “clever blacks” are living a softer life within city centres and affluent suburbs amongst wealthy whites folks. Could 15 years of governing the province be reasonable for poor black people to want to vote them out?

DA wants vote to devide Western Cape and no coloured's black's or Indian's allowed it's like visiting another country with visa stay and go back security gates with heavy security not allowed to visiting Beach or certain section of Western Cape, it will be called ( Cape of Good hope) wth resources

You can't have crime with no people. If South Africa sneeze Botswana will die of influenza. Botswana produce so little almost 80% of all consumer goods are imported from South Africa. That's why there are more Tswana people in south africa compared to Botswana

*The worst looking place in WC don't even come close to how it looks in the other 8 provinces' if the other provinces can be run like the worst looking places in WC SAfrica will be a greatly better place however the gangs dont make it easy for DA to be in full control in WC its still in progress ( Have you been in some of the other provinces it looks like there's a war going on* *WC compared to some of the other 8 provinces is like comparing clean water to shitty water*

This is a political hit piece by a ‘journalist’ that struggles to put a sentence together. Is she an AI bot? Furthermore, these squatters just show up, put up a few shacks, wait until there’s enough of them then ‘demand’ services for which they don’t pay. I pay for my refuse to be taken away, I pay for the roads to be maintained - that’s why we pay taxes. If people in townships don’t like it here they’re free to go back to the Eastern Cape and live under ANC rule.

The electricity, water, sewage and refuse removal you enjoy is a privilege compared to 1000s of others leaving Soweto and other townships for Khayelitsha. No other townships in South Africa are growing faster then those in Capetown. Ask yourself rather why so many people chose to move to such misery if there are much better options
