Don't do this, unless it's for science only, if the connector is brooken, you can change it (on both charger and battery) to ANY 4 pin or more connector, cheap option is GX12-4 like this for less then 2$: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEf...

    Thanks for the video. You are right about the two communication wires, white (+) and blue (-). Successful in charging it again with a generic 42V charger and a 3V supply to the communication wires.

    With so many e-bike battery fires recently, Do it yourself battery pack modifications similar to this should be outlawed, if only to protect innocent people in multi occupancy accommodation.

    Thanks to the two of you :D I'm trying it out right now. 2 hours and going. I'm getting one hotspot but its stable around 50c (Q212) near the LEDs

    Possible anyone have a suggestion where to ask for help Selecting a ebike drive controller replacement for a “safecastle breeze” ebike? Looking for a helpful forum or group that can answer questions for DIY repair and advice, not sure where to look or ask for help and knowledge on what to select, or how to select a compatible controller.

    HELLO , i have a giant bike wich my battery was stolen "Energypack 300 " i found a recycled battery from another bike but ive connected the postive and the negative to the battery "leaving the bleu wire " and it works fine for couple of seconds then the assist shutdown and the motor stops any ideas how i can bypass this or any other information regarding the bleu signal wire thank you

    I replaced the BMS, but I don't know what the third wire at the output is between plus and minus. The bike does not want to work without it. Can somebody help me?

    Hi doc I've got a sduro 1.0 haibike Yamaha 36v battery id some trouble with the charger connector on the battery so I fixed it attached another one then I got this error code e and f flashing is my BMS blown if any part on the BMS is burnt could I replace it n maybe it'll work again iv had the bike 2 weeks 2 and this happend all that money just seems wasted can anyone help it'll be very appreciated cheers.

    I don't think Yamaha will spend a lot of money to install some advanced charger protection for third party chargers. It is probably very simple.

    it is uart not canbus but there is now a chip that you can use so you can use any 3rd party bms and keep the coms data a uk shop has managed to find a way round bosch and can bus but they have to be working and charging to have a chance of a full recell so not 100% also the new bosch smart batts will not work with the older motors and have a new bms layout ffs

    Just buy the correct charger. They are not THAT expensive. The battery pack itself is so expensive its not worth the risk.
