A SURPRISING DISCOVERY?? The NEW E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.2m

Ғылым және технология

Looking for a great next step warbird? Well, I was pleasantly surprised by E-flite's new P-51D Mustang 1.2m as it is about as good as it gets for that next step airplane! Plus, at the 1.2m size, this P-51 doesn't take up much room and is easily transportable. With the AS3X setup in the BnF, the model feels much bigger than it is in flight and those landings are like butter. A big thank you to Brock Slagle with BlueSky Filmworks for his help on the camera! #P51Mustang #scalemodel #warbirds

    Super video Chris. I just love that Preddy Scheme, and E-flite has the Mustang lines down just about perfect! I wish someone made a scale set of operating Aluminum struts that we could retro-fit to the model. It sure doesn't need them, but the cool factor would be off the charts. One NIB in case this plane was totally discontinued. This and the Extra 300 are probably the best flying plane Eflite has ever put out. P-47 being a close 3rd.

    Hello Mr. Geek. I enjoy your reviews and videos. Currently looking at buying this plane. I have one question, since your are obviously in the know...why does HH continue to use cheap, junky plastic servos and cheap foam hinges. Never have liked this cost cutting step.Any thoughts? Thanks.

  • @Thercgeek

    @Thercgeek

    Жыл бұрын

    Honestly, I’m not privy to that sort of backend info. I’m an end user when it comes to these reviews. That being said, it’s really about keeping the costs manageable I’m sure. More expensive hardware will mean higher costs to the end user. So, there’s a balance to be played out. Lots of little cost increases add up to a large increase quite quickly.

    Sir, I am grateful for all the knowledge you share. I am going to copy your paint scheme on the EC-1500 I just bought. Would you be able to help me with two questions? How do I get my hands on the decal set you used for EC 1500? Second, I just got the Cripes A Mighty Mustang, and I have already buggered up one of the main retracts. I have searched the world over for a possible suitable set of retracts. HH is backordered for a ridiculously long time for the stock set. Any hope for a mod that will allow some other retract to fit? If not, I guess I will part this out. Probably buy a different plane if HH is going to be that far out on replacement parts. Thank you so much! Dale.

  • @Thercgeek

    @Thercgeek

    Жыл бұрын

    If your shoot me an email, I can send you the artwork file for the c-27. Unfortunately, I don’t have the material here to print them. On the retract, I’d recommend looking for a replacement that has a similar footprint from any sources I could find. I’d guess there are some options out there, but expect to replace both the right and the left retracts.

And to make this P-51D even worse they’ve painted it to blend in with the sky or cloud cover. Other than the 90mm Viper I’m done with Eflite. @@jeffhenderson934 Well, that sounds like to me you need a good trainer plane. Maybe change up your flying style a bit, cause these foamy 1.2 meter warbirds couldn't be any easier to fly. The wing loading on them is so low already, you couldn't ask for anything easier to fly. Work on your flying skilld some, then come back and give a real opinion!!

    How do you align the rear wheel with the rudder? Doesn't give any info about it in the manual or anywhere online

    When you take the canopy access hatch off, that provides access to the elevator and rudder servos. The rudder servo is the one with the two pushrods going into the connector. Simply unscrew the capture screw and then adjust the pushrods so everything aligns and then tighten the screw back up to hold it in place.
