Stunning result. Sometimes being an artist means recognizing and embracing the beauty of things that we didn't create on purpose. I also use my gel plates as palettes. Hopefully some day I'll come across an accident as beautiful as this one.

Fabulous little abstract mono print as good as I have seen in some art exhibitions . I feel there is a place for serendipidous art . I have the tendency to 'over think' and believe that it can't be so simple and in the process I have overworked many a painting that would have been awesome in their earlier simple intuitive stages .

Oh yes, I can so relate to that! It took a bit of courage for me with this little piece, but I'm glad I kept it as is this time. So good to keep this in mind!

So good to hear that! Yes, it really is such a good reminder for me to just assess the work as is, without adding more to it than needed. Thanks so much Vicki!

Oh Juna, it can ABSOLUTELY be that easy!! Sometimes working less on something gives more! If that makes sense? I think it is a beautiful little abstract art! Thanks for sharing!

Very creative - sometimes “art” is just letting go and giving up control - the results are often pleasing and surprising

I really like it.. I'm like you sometimes you might think can it really be that simple. I actually don't think it is simple or has to be balanced and that's exactly what you managed to achieve in this piece 😊.. I would frame it as it is 😊

It's very beautiful Juna! May I ask what type of a gel plate are you using? The ones I am familiar with are very flexible. Yours seems to be attached to a hard surface? thank you.

I like this. I liked it even better before you added the stamp. As an abstract artist, I don't agree that it has to have something like a stamp to make it art. The fact that you created it no matter if it was accidental makes it art.

You are so right Eva, it doesn't need it at all! All that is needed, is for me to have the courage to follow my creativity and artistic eye... Thanks for your comment!
