The billboard takeover at Times Square in New York City was part of Light the World, an annual movement to bring people from all over the world together to share the light of Jesus Christ during the Christmas season. The beautiful nativity scene that emerged from the blackout was a tender reminder of the Savior’s birth and why we need His light and love in our lives.
Another part of Light the World is the Giving Machines-vending machines with a twist. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints partners each year with global charities and local nonprofits to allow people to donate items to people in need, from a goat for a Syrian refugee to clean water for schools in Africa. Faith is truly the only armor against the enemy. As a single mom things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them especially now that I’m homeschooling them my hours to work are limited. But I KEEP FAITH IN JESUS! People have put me down over my situation but God lifts me up! I suffered an heart attack two years ago and I’m battling lupus my health isn’t the best. Yet God gives me strength. I will keep faith as I constantly struggle to pay bills and I constantly struggle to buy groceries for my children not knowing if I can pay my rent keeps me up at night. The devil wants me to give up. I will not! God Gives His Hardest Battles To His Strongest Soldiers. Jesus is King and I will serve him no matter my struggles.

And yes, i was there when happenning this, and only thought that if in an instant all went into silence/quiet its cos sth where prepared in advanced, you know, some street show from a theater company etc. But suddenly where the LDS doing, one more time, a breatiful and touched work and job, nothing less at... TIME SQUARE LOL. Job well done to all participants !
