A Seiko SARB033 Alternative For Less Than 50% Of The Price

What's happening good people, in todays topical video I'll be discussing why I think this watch is a fantastic alternative to the famed Seiko SARB033. We all know those are expensive, so why not potentially save some cash and take a look at this instead.

Wes' Watch Room is a channel supported by affiliate links. Shopping via the links does not cost you anything extra but it does help keep the channel running. Currently, the channel is a member of the AliExpress and Amazon programs. Also, I only link to products I have hands-on experience with via a review or to watches that I own or have owned in the past. The exception to this is the list of videos where I showcase watches and products I think you should take a look at but I always advise you to do your own research first.
Thanks again.

    Hey guys, what do you think of the Sary 057, is it a good alternative? Also, yes this is a re-upload from the other channel, thought it would be a better fit over here. Anyways, hope you enjoy and have a good one.

    I think it is one of the best offers Seiko has. What Seiko used to be and represent. I have the Sarb017 Alpinist, 2 king Seiko and a Seikomatic from 1963, so I’m covered as for that looks, styling, and use. By the way, that famous Japanese great wave painting that you use as a background- I have it as the dial of one of my Islander’s (fully lumed). Extremely beautiful and unique, I think.

    I agree, this is the stuff we used to get before the price hikes and everything else. If we were to be an equivalent now, just think how expensive it would be. Cheers mate

  • @WesWatchRoom

    @WesWatchRoom

    Tough to say because this is a pre owned watch so it has damage and scuffs on the finishing. But I would say it's probably very close

    Really a cracking timepiece. Maybe a touch too chunky overall? I have a slightly different view on what would dress this watch up or down. I think the steel bracelet conveys a little sportiness. You could dress this watch up with a certain type of refined leather straps. On the other hand you can dress this further down with a sort of more rugged or distressed leather strap. Believe me: 6R movements don't necessarily perform better than 4R movements!!

    It is mate and you're right, the bracelet is a fine line, but it's so versatile it suits just about anything - well apart from a bund or divers strap. Cheers mate and enjoy your weekend

    Do you happen to have Italian ancestry? Those hands moves man. I can't help, always making a joke. I notice you don't have a Discord or just not one publicly advertised. I expect to receive my Tactical Frog Solar Chrono next week. Should i contact you through your email listed on your YT account when im ready to send it your way? (and possibly 1 or 2 more watches, im not sending a package to the other side of the ocean with just one watch in it, gotta be efficient). Anyway, we need to talk if you're still interested,

    Beitifull watch but This could never really be a sarb alternative because it is too big. That is the reason most people love the sarb is because it’s small. This would look great on a the bigger worsted people out there for sure though.

    I prefer the non-luminious hands and dial of the Seiko SARY057 over that of the SARB033. If you have the JDM version with the Kanji day wheel, that is a bonus. The only knock I have against it is that it wears big on my 17 mm circumference wrist.

    Me too, it's cleaner and more crisp. I don't find it wears big at all, but that's just me
