what app I can use to add notes for exploratory testing like that ?

I like the video Idea. I have a question for you. Which features of test buddy, according to you, will make people want paid subscription? Can they do some of it using Shared google doc? if yes, why would they choose test buddy instead of google docs? PS - I am not well versed with the platform. curious to understand what this app offers, if you could explain.

Hi Shubhanjali, Thanks for your thoughts on the video idea, that’s great! And thank you for your question. Those who pay for TestBuddy often talk about the value of the PDF report. They enjoy that its automatically formatted and ready to go with one click of a download button. Others like the simplicity of the structure when notes are captured. We hear nice stories of how the PQIP labelling helps, particularly as a reminder to share compliments - PQIP refers to Problem, Question, Idea and Praise. TestBuddy also includes a handy inbuilt timer feature to help with focus and to inform the explorer of time over or under their planned exploration time. And absolutely you could achieve all of this using Google Docs combined with other tools. I guess using a dedicated note taking tool for exploratory testing instead of a generic note taking tool is a personal choice. It works for some and not for others. Hi, I liked the video but for me the video stopped quite in the middle. I was also wandering about the reporting part. You just send the report or do you also add the answers to the questions in the beginning, like a summary?

Thanks for liking the video, @baseneelco. The video recording happened to cut earlier than planned. Yet I felt I captured enough to share at least some footage to gather feedback on the concept of video recording an exploratory testing session. At the end of a session I tend to capture a summary of my findings which may or may not be direct answers to the questions I attempted to answer. I tend to describe a summary of discoveries I think are important to call out in the test report for the purpose of a debrief with another person, either in real-time or asynchronously.
