Yeah, gameplay and adventure was awesome. But the way story concluded was total shit. This has to be the worst ending in video game histories. Desmond Miles dying is a joke compared to how stupid this was

Honestly, out of all the games I played, this is the one that got me depressed. I truly cared about all the characters. In the first game I sort of hated Hugo in the beginning, but this game made me love him. I wanted everyone to end up as a happy family living in the mountains. I never thought it would have ended like this for poor Hugo. Omg I can't believe a AA game was able to cut me down emotionally where AAA titles can barely make a decent story. Well done!

I didn't play the first game, so Hugo for me is just a pure and adorable child, like my son who is also 6 years old. And the English voice actor was perfect for the job. All this made me care about the character. This ending got me depressed too. I felt like all the adventure and effort was useless in the end, because the point was to find a cure for Hugo and after all the losses and he couldn't be saved.

It's sadder once I realized the song in the end was played at the very beginning of the first game when Amicia was spending time with her dad. Sort of like how the first flower that Hugo gave you in the first game is also the very last flower you find in this game. Like it's symbolizing that this is the end of their story

I dont think that she cut lucas off. I just think its hard for them to see each other right now because he feels guilty he had to do it and she is traumatized by watching it happen. But with time they will probably grow closer again.

Finished the game just now, Life is pointless after this, I feel empty! This game was worth every penny!

The post-credit scene looks promising. This is also logical considering that gaps between pandemics are seem to take approximately eight centuries. It would be really interesting to see the plague in modern days, despite the setting and feelings from the game are going to change a lot. It is a fascinating experience to see how new characters are looking for notes left by Amicia. Does a big contrast between of how memories about De Runes are vivid and knowing how many years since their lives have already passed.

It would be interesting to see how the people in modern time will react. Will they have learned some parts of history or will the order, in whatever form they will exist, cover up this part of history? Also, what would happen if the Carrier successfully pass the final threshold? We’ve seen what happens when the macula takes full control.

I actually just finished I wanted to play it again but I’m gonna need some time, I feel so broken after this 😔

After I beat this game, I felt depressed. Not just because of Hugo, but the entire game was superb! The graphics, play mechanics, voice acting, story and atmosphere were GOTY variables! It’s been along time since I played a game like this! The story ranks with my all time favorites Morales, TLOU and FF7! God of War, Elden Rings and games like that are good, but they never got me feeling like I was apart of the storyline. When I thought Amicia died, I was like, “Noooo!” This was so good, I’m a play it again on hard with the bonuses! Damn. What a game! People think it’s boring thinking it’s just a bland game regarding a girl with a slingshot. They just don’t know!

It's a really good game. First game to actually get me depressed. I enjoyed every bit of it, but I enjoyed it even more when the actresses in the game played it and streamed it.

For any of you guys that are interested, the actress that plays as Sophia, Anna Demetriou, has her own twitch and KZread channel. I already knew it was gonna end like this... While playing the game I thought that in the end Amicia was going to end his brother's life. And well the game didn't actually help in letting you think otherwise. I really cried at the end.

The post-credit scene with the baby seems promising. I hope that if they do go forward with the modern times idea. We could possibly see what happens when the carrier pass the final threshold without the macula taking full control. I’ve always wondered if the macula is to test the will of the carrier. Charlotte McBurney´s performance in this game was absolutely insane. It´s really rare that voice actor/ress will push me to tears but she did. What a game.. what a story.

The first game left a hole that only the sequel could fill. And now... Well... At least 2020 was inspirational for some games.

Next game in a modern setting sounds promising for the future of this franchise, love every bit about this, even with it's flaws it is something we truly needed. The baby in a hospital in some sort of a current timeline and all the possibilities with the gameplay, protagonist following in the footsteps of Aelia and Amicia, new mechanics. Already cannot wait for it. Hopefully devs can do a much better job, with fewer bugs and a crispier gameplay with an ever evolving and great story.

I'm looking forward for the next game

This game is really special to me! I've played a lot of emotional games that had a big impact on me in general but this game really was one of the most emotional games I've ever played in my whole life! What a wonderful job Asobo Studio did with this game! I will remember this game forever and I never get tired of it either! I hope Asobo makes a third Plague Tale game soon! I think it would be great to see where Asobo takes the story next after the ending of A Plague Tale Requiem showed Amicia heading off on another new adventure. I hope Asobo does something really amazing with a third game if they are deciding on making a third one. I will definitely play it! Well done Asobo Studio! You did a spectacular job with this franchise and this game too!🥰 I loved both A Plague Tale Innocence and A Plague Tale Requiem!🥰 These games took my breath away! They both hold a special place in my heart too!💖💙❤

The next carrier of the plague was born. There’s a codex in the room where you have to move all of those flaming carts around to clear a path that shows the multiple other locations of outbreaks. So at the end amecia is going out to find them which is why so many people think there’s a sequel in the works.

I personally would be dissapointed if they take the next story to modern times. I liked the medieval setting alot. The costumes and environment look amazing. There are already so many survival horror games set in modern times. I wish they would at least made the time hop a little shorter. But we'll see what they come up with. I will still be interested in a sequel anyway!

Requiem story doesn't make sense because the Macular has been pass down through De Runes family only yet if the first carrier and protector are the only family left had died then Amicia and Hugo should not exist. So in order to make third Plague tale, the first origin plague happen in Egypt after Hebrews left Egypt the Egyptians population are short thanks to plagues of locust, frogs and flies and death, they want to ruler the world and defeat the armies that tries to conquer, Egyptians wanted to use the power of the plagues and to weaponized it they created the Macular and the first carrier but it ends up destroying people of Egypt. So the first protector uses the ritual to show the third protector what would happen if she listen to Macular false dream to Hugo of a cure and sees the future of event of Requiem then......she wakes up to find Hugo and her mother alive, event takes place after part 1 so Amicia tells them what happen and finds out Macular curse origin through Egypt and travels there to learn more, Amicia do know what she is seeing but realized that she has a second chance of saving Hugo. The cure for Macular is the Staff of wonder, since Egypt does same staff into serpent power but cant do all it does because it contains divine touch. it also curse any curse or sickness so Amicia tries to find it which leads to the Jewish people. SO YEAH THAT'S MY IDEA PLEASE SHARE IS IDEA TO THE MAKERS OF TH GAME.

Genetics is not strictly linear. If at some point during their family there were multiple children to one De Rune family, then multiple children are carriers. The first carrier and protector are likely distant relatives. Also, it looks like the next one will be more modern

The macula is in certain families. Then you have to consider how big those families are. We only know about the first carrier and protector, but we don't know anything else about the family. There could have been other siblings later on in life, cousins, etc. The role of Protector and Carrier was passed on to Hugo and Amicia, but that doesn't mean they are the direct descendants from the first pair

In some way, yes. Considering Hugo felt compelled to go to the island to where to Carrier before him died ans also had dreams of it. They may not be direct reincarnations of one another, but things are connected via Bloodline.

The ending where Lucas was the one to kill Hugo, we just need to wait a little longer to get this scenario, just like some endings of far cry games. Btw, seeing Hugo was hang on the tree moving his body because the Macula has entirely taken him, it was so heartbreaking.

They should have put a better ending for hugo. They should let the player choose to save hugo. A live in the mountains in peace. This so sad bro

this game made me emotional for about a week, bullshit

I made sure I did not kill Hugo. Amicia did not need that on her mental health at all. When Hugo told me to stop fighting, I took his word literally and didnt even try to kill him. I feel better that Lucas did it, Amicia will get over the fact he did it, but she will feel better that it wasnt her.

You know what I have to disagree, Amicia said she felt content for the legacy hugo left behind, and felt the sacrifice was worth it and her role as the protector was consumated by protecting one she protected us all. Cause she could have walked way and let hugo consumed by the macula destroy everything. Also if she didn't kill him, everybody including her will be dead. Now you know that Lucas but if you didn't know then what. At least Amicia got clouse in the version where you killed Hugo, let me know your thoughts.

There ain’t no way you don’t know who Lucas is, he was introduced in Chapter 3 of Innocence and was a mainstay the entire first game, and was with you for the first 5 chapters of Requiem as well as the final 5 chapters Lucas, obviously besides Amicia and Hugo, is the most shown character in the games

Yeah, the voice acting and immersion is better.

dont get this stupid game, why not just kill hugo from the beginning. could have avoided millions from dying. for the next carrier and protector, she should just leave a note saying "just kill the carrier immediately" Lucas is the real hero, he is still a child, has no one, but is the most sane one. amicia is just a overprotective lunatic and doesnt care that millions die cuz of his brother.

@@DK-gl3ih yeah i agree, constant whining, failing to see any reasoning, only emotionally investing in hugo while everyone around them are dying. i think she was more like a villain than a protector.
