I felt even more bad when we found out his own son was killed.

I think Arnaud and Amicia's interaction was perfectly believable. I didn't trust Arnaud at all for good reason and how it built up towards that moment Amicia and Hugo had to get away from him. But then you start understanding Arnaud better near the end and I like how the off hand dialogue makes you understand their respective background stories. Arnaud turns out to be the highest rated character to me in the end.

When watching the first time, I felt like he can be trusted, just not entirely yet. But, the end was all that counted.

I don't know how asobo managed to make a game so deeply depressing that it leaves a mark on you, and a scar too

Arnaud has the best character development in this game!

I think the guy in the beginning of the video 2:06 is not Arnaud, it's the Beast. Arnaud part begins at 4:16

Lol, I was looking for a comment like that. Apparently the lovers of this game think that the writing was good. But Arnaud he's the example that writers missed the point in many occasions. I have noticed right now that Arnaud show his face for few seconds before Hugo attack him with rats, but it is so fast that when he saves Amicia you can't really understad who he is. Before this encounter you kill the beast and I was sure they were the same person! Plus: Arnaud speaks about a war between the "scum of Provence" and the count, but Lucas said "the count's soldiers are going to seize everything" when you first met them, so to you they are working for the count, it's confusing. Plus they never explain well the background about Arnaud and the count's relationship: ok at some point Arnaud's son died, but how is the count fault if they were fighting on the same side?

​@@Patasgrullimultiple reasons. Maybe the Count made a decision that needlessly put people's lives at risk. The Count did like violence, after all. Maybe Arnaud just didn't like the fact that his son died under the Count's command. We really aren't supposed to know every little detail about Arnaud's history, just that he blames the Count and wants to kill him

I've been playing games since the 90s. This is one of the VERY FEW games where i genuinely cared about all the characters. After the de Runes lost their mother, i just wanted Amicia, Hugo, Lucas, Sophia, and Arnaud to live together in the mountains like a family. I really though of Arnaud as a bit of a father figure. I was not prepared for the end. This was the first game to cut me deep emotionally. I was so depressed that it physically affected me. No other game has done that. Well done Asobo team

@@erozaky1077 the only character I cared about in that game was Lenny. When people died in that game, I wasn't hurt as much compared to all the characters in both Plague Tale games

I love the part Hugo and Arnaud talking when Amicia is still unconscious.

Character that will take second place, but the impact he had in the plot was more than good

I wish we had Arnaud as a constant companion like Sophia. Alternating companions would've been cool.

At first I was like nah.. he playing us, ain't no way I can trust him. Me later crying after his death.. RIP Arnaud

Hi I didn't trust Arnaud at first either when Amicia and Hugo first met him. I'm glad that the trust between Amicia and Arnaud built up as the game went on. Amicia learned to trust Arnaud and she began to understand how Arnaud came to be the way he is. It's because he's been through a lot in terms of war and he lost someone he cared for and the fact that the Count abandoned Arnaud and his son to the enemy weighed heavily on Arnaud's mind until he avenged the death of his son. Also he was like a father figure for Hugo too and he became very compassionate towards him and Amicia as well. It was like a second chance for Arnaud to protect someone he cares about again and to make things right again as well.

When first time watching, I didnt trust him, but the count... I trusted far less. Apparently with good reason. He was a villain, until he found someone to care for, a real purpose. I feel like he was like an uncle to the siblings. That's just my perspective. He was one of my favorite characters⚔

Arnaud looks like my 9th grade world history teacher. Ive seen people playing plague tale requiem, alot of the gamers being female. They always find Arnaud attractive!

Victor and his crazy wife reminds me a lot of two crazy girlfriends who turned my sister into nearly insane people and they also had their sick group of women but one guy was helping them. Really insane people but thankfully I don't need to worry about them anymore.

I hate the fact that he died. It should be Sophie instead him. Too be honest I dislike her and I Arnaud should stay with Amicia to the end instead of her.

Sophie helped them a lot and saved Amicia, she was actually a mother for Hugo and a sister for Amicia. She was a loyal friend and didn't deserve to die like that. I mean there's no need for them both to die.
